Any one else concerned with NINO!! I know he is on a crap line but there doesnt seem to be a grit to his game. He Doesnt seem to be fighting for more ice time - BOBBYBOWS

If it means keeping the Islanders here then I am all for this. I for one would go to that game and think we all should to sell it out and show that we dont want our team to leave New York - kasperrko
THAT is exactly what needs to happen. |

PAP sucks dont you know that. He is the worse player we have. I mean any other team he is horrible. He cant compare to Bailey or Okposo./ - kasperrko
I would trade Pap in a NY minute for a decent player. Sht I would trade PAP, Bailey and OK for Bobby Ryan.

For god's sake don't read into this too much, but the Isles are in talks to host a pre-season game at the Barclays Center - eichiefs9
I wonder if it's to see if the arena is capable of handling it. The only thing about this is if it's a trial run for preseason, then we know the Islanders will be moving. Not sure exactly where though. |

I agree that it's likely a test run to see how the arena looks/functions/draws a crowd as a hockey venue. I don't think it necessarily means they are definitely moving. Before you make any knee-jerk reactions you do your homework. I guarantee Kansas City was the same thing, and there may be others. Who knows. |

Bailey is the real deal. You just havent see it all yet. - Spartiarti
He's currently on pace to finish with fewer goals and fewer points than last season's disappointing campaign. He has to pick it up big time in the second half.
Hey, I think Grabner-Bailey-Martin have looked like a solid line. But a look at hard numbers shows production for Bailey over the last five games totals...one assist.
I don't think the Isles should trade him...what are you going to get for a player with these numbers? The chance of him playing better in the future is more valuable than what you'd get for him now, I think. Also, why just hand Strome a job next year? Bring in Cizikas, keep Bailey, bring in Brock Nelson, bring back Nielsen. Three jobs available for those five players, may the best three win. Real competition may light a fire under some of these guys. |

Yeah but I heard that there was not a good turn out in Kansas City and that was because Islander fans up here bought the tickets. This is what I heard anyway. The place was half empty |

Sorry I disagree. He is third on the team with points great on the power play. Ok so he turns the puck over he is an Islander isnt he? There is no one on this team who does not turn the puck over |

Problem is with Nino he is playing with Wallace and Pandolfo. you can put Sidney Crosby on that line with them and he would suck too |

I can't imagine that a team that can't even fill their own building for regular season home games against top NHL teams actually had fans care enough to purposely spend money on preseason tickets that they had no intention of using, just so the arena was empty. |

???? Pandolfo is awesome. Not sure where you are going with this? The guy is a penalty killing machine and a beast out their on the ice. Second best on the team. |

The little things aren't there in his game. It's not only a matter of who he plays with. He's lost with the puck, he's lost without it. He's slow, he puts himself in vulnerable situations. I don't see any of the physicality in his game that I saw in his 9 game stint last season. I'm not worried though, everyone develops at their own pace. |

Bottom line is he was not ready this year. He seems to be a couple of years away. |

While he isn't producing the #'s he should be, I think that clearly has to do with the line he's on and the minutes he's given. With that said, as chiefs said, he's not doing the things he should be doing regardless of his linemates. |
