I think your overrating Suter. Suter would be an upgrade over Carle. He isn't as good defensively as Timonen is.

JvR and a 1st wouldnt do it.. and its a fantasy world because its Shea (frank)ING Weber. They have playoff hopes as well in Nashville. They are likely going to wait till the end of the season to try to work out a deal with him and worst case scenario they lose him during RFA and get 4 1st out of him. More like is that he gets a long term deal. Less likely is that he gets moved during the offseason for a huge package.

I don't agree. With the strength in youth up the middle I think JvR is the perfect piece of the offense to move to shift some of the talent to the back end.

Right now the only defenseman we should be talking about are from either the Canes, the Ducks, the Jackets, the Isles, the Oilers, or the Habs.

Everyone else is still very much in the playoff hunt. Looking at those teams the names I would target are. Gleason, Beauchamin, Staios, Streit or Gill.
