No you give your starter a chance to get back into it and get some confidence and get the D playing around him again.....one game is not the hot hand. If he won 5 in a row then maybe yeah. - Philly1980
okay please let Lavy know so he can make the change ASAP.
he will tell you only in New York and Bob starts.
you play the hot hand and get the points at this stage of the season. I'm sorry you disagree. |

If Bob shuts out the Islanders tonight, I think it will be the first of his career. |

If Bob shuts out the Islanders all hell will break loose. People may never want to see Bryzgalov in net again. Im all for whatever makes the team better. The Flyers are trying to win games so you have to play the guys who give you the best chance to win at this point. |

The thing is Bob is on one night and not the next, so I'm not sure how much better of a chance they have with Bob over Bryz. I'd personally like to see Bryz get a chance to start 4 or 5 games in a row. |

Good comparison.

I actually think bryz has been hung out to dry unfairly....the team plays like crap in front of him....i hope it doesnt happen to bob. I do think on any given night he gives you a better chance to win regardless of those numbers. |

Bob will shut them out guaranteed.
Final score 4-2 Flyers. |

Let's not forget what the Isle did to Detroit two nights ago. They aren't going to roll over and hand the points to the Flyers. |

Just play physical and hope Tavares, Okposo and Moulson don't go nuts and you'll beat us 5-1. If the JT line goes nuts, you'll beat us 5-3. |

I'm thinking it has to do with them not being likely to come and not wanting to suspend them for not showing. - bodiva88

I want to see Bryz in there too because over the weekend I thought he made some real nice saves but right now Points are more important to Lavy (IMO) then just getting Bryz back in there.
Bob has good numbers versus the Islanders and he's earned another start.
in due time Bryz is going to be given the reigns and i hope he takes charge and handles the weight that comes with it. |

I give the wings a pass. They obviously aren't as familiar with the Islanders as we should be and the Islanders have had a good record against the Wings since the lockout. |

I think it's more that you signed Bryz to be the guy, and while he hasn't played great, it just feels like he isn't the guy. You don't pay a goalie for 9 years at 5.5 or whatever to duke it out with a 2nd year back up goalie. Personally, I don't really care who plays because both have played up and down this year, though Bob has been slightly better (but played less games).
I just don't understand why they went out to get their franchise goalie, but don't play him almost every game like the other franchise goalies get. |

Yes. You take one game at a time theory. Play the best players that give you a chance to win on that night. |
