No way. Bryz has looked great in this game. Solid positioning. Laser focus. Good lateral movement. Really settling in...

Exactly, no trading what could be good pieces of the future for short term fixes that do little but stabilize the situation. Gleason's a great depth defenseman, playing the 4th or 5th spot, he's fine.

He's not a huge difference maker, though.

he should have ... they've come out so far in the 3rd playing as soft as they did in the first 2 periods.

That's what I don't get. You want someone to take some minutes away from Timonen so he's not a zombie come April. You don't want to overpay for that someone and set the team back.

Especially when the folks proposing trades seem to want a scapegoat or player they don't like (perceived bust) out of town.

If there weren't guys like Gill, Allen, Staois and Zanon potentially available, fine trade a 2nd and Z for Gleason. Then you have to do it. Right now, there's options....maybe not as sexy, but they need solid right now.

If it makes you feel any better, the isles would have at the very least 3 goals which is Bryz's AVG, and about 2 would be deflections, so you couldn't really blame him.





Even though at the end of the day it's still 3 to 4 goals.
