He traded a guy with a massive cap hit, who made it clear he wasn't happy in Montreal. He now has added a solid winger, good prospect and a 2nd rounder for a guy with a big contract and an attitude problem. It's the first step and after Cammy shooting off his mouth, he had to move him. - Jsaquella
There seems to be alot of issues going on in Montreal. Losing can cause players to act out of character. I have no problem with a player speaking his mind but it should be done behind closed doors. Cammy just went and did it the wrong way. - stveshdy
He did, and it's not the first time he's made controversial comments to the media.
That said, the microscope in Montreal can twist things. I think Gauthier did about as good as he could have here. Bourque gives them some size up front, and I doubt that they are finished.

Bourque is a solid player and they free up alot of cap space. I dont think its a bad deal for either side.
he's injured and that excuse has an expiration date that extends thru the season, I'm afraid. - isaiah520
You know how there are just players you can't stand watching? Something about them just bothers you? I can't exactly put my hand on exactly what it is, he just bothers the hell out of me.
Complete opposite side of the spectrum... Couturier is fun as hell to watch. Kids gonna be a stud.
there is a lot of JVR to toronto talk going around what do you flyer's fans think JVR is worth ? - The_Vark
I have been an advocate of trading JvR for a while now. The guy has great upside but there is just something about him I can't stand. He isn't going to come cheap, thats for sure. He was the #2 overall pick and is locked up for the next 5 years.
Bringing Luke Schenn to play with his brother would be pretty interesting. I know nothing about Schenn, how good is he and how good can he be?
I do wonder if Calgary really thinks that Cammalleri can put them over the top and into the top 8 out west. - Jsaquella
Calgary definately needs to add more firepower. Add Cammalleri can help add to that, plus he can help on the power play. I dont think that deal puts them into the elite class of the West. They may need to make another move or so to play with the big boys.
