Campbell was an absolute trainwreck(sorry if I offend anyone with this word) when he 1st came up. It took him 5yrs before he figured it out. - dadeadhead
like I said has seasons with my Dad back then and my Dad wouldn't even bother to learn his name, he would just say "That f ing red headed kid is playing again tonight" |

I would rather go for Weber via offersheet but my guess is Nash takes him to arbitration and elects a 2yr deal. They aren't going to be able to sign Suter and Weber. - dadeadhead
My guess is they bonk Weber and go with a more cost effective Suter. I have no idea where Weber goes before the deadline, where ever it is, if they are a playoff team they will make a serious run at the Cup. Wonder if Vancouver makes a run at him.

I agree, why they feel they need to put so much effort into this kid when they have so many really good prospects of their own is beyond me
guess Darcy really believes the whole "size matters" thing - billyk
If the Sabres make a deal with Anaheim I think it's for Ryan.
Ryan Miller has two years left on his contract after this year? Deal him now in a losing year or deal him closer to the end of his deal when his value is even less. Trading Miller is most likely an offseason move for Darcy. He'll be 33-34 when his contract is up and I don't think the Sabres will be signing him to a new contract. He'll be dealt sometime in the next year and a half -two years, hopefully for more than a high 2nd round pick Darcy got for Biron. |

IMO they sign throw the kitchen sink at Weber.
If not they will cease to exist as a team. |

Pretty sure Weber went to arbitration and is unrestricted after this year. I just don't see Nashville signing him after paying Pekka Rinne $7M per year. |

If done at the deadline Anaheim will have 22 mil to play with per cap geek. They have 10 mil in space right now.

Ok then what happens at the beginning of next season with them being over the cap? cap hit is too tight thats if the cap doesn't go down next season |

It was an Arb award.
The team can elect to take a player to arbitration once, they can elect a 1 or 2 yr award. My guess is they elect a 2 yr award to give them more time to figure out how to resign him. It will be for 8 mil per IMO. |

Anaheim has 27 mil in space next year.
That deal only adds 4.5ish on to their cap next year needing to resign Ennis. They'd have plenty of room. |

They can and IMO will. He is their franchise, they can't afford to lose him. |

and since they already have Rinne locked up, that means Suter may be available via trade or free agency - CaptainRivet
Bingo.
I'd rather have Suter and Getzlaf than Myers going forward.
Since Darcy is GM none of it will happen. |

That's if the cap is the same or higher ( doubtful) and if the ducks don't sign half there young rfa's or beauchemin Read cap geek a little harder not just the cap space there is a reason they have that much cap space |

And that deal only adds 4.5 in space next year.
Miller, Roy, Myers, and Ennis(RFA)= 15.75 with needing to sign Ennis (1.5) should do it as he's proved nothing. So thats 17.25mil.
Getz, Fowler, and Hiller = 11.225 mill.
They add 6.025 mil in space next year that leaves them with 21mil to work with.
I did my research on it, you might wanna take the time to read a little more before spouting off at the mouth.
Edit: They only have 2 RFA's to sign that are on the roster. The rest are in the AHL and last time I checked they don't coun't against the cap. |

the key to the Ducks success has been having Selanne play for 1 or 2 million a year, once they lose that luxury their whole cap falls apart |
