Make the trade on July 2nd. Pegula has deep pocket's. Plus if they wanna play the cash to the cap game. Beauchemin, Hagman, and Blake is 10 mill that comes of the books. Lubo's cap hit is 5.6 but his salary is only 3mil. Where there is a will there is a way.

The real issue is Gaustad, Hecht and Boyes contracts are done in 3 months. I don't think they can stomach the PR nightmare by bringing any one of them back let alone all 3 even if they would like to. I.E. they knew how the fans felt about Connolly.

With that roughly 8.8 mil in cap space you need get 1 or 2 really good players, and fill in the third with a good value player like Szrzyszyz. Be patient and wait for free agency. If the Sabres make the right moves they can preserve Myers and Mcnabb on D and get the offense fixed. Then its time to start thinking about a cup.

Re-upping goose? Really? I know he scored a few recently, good at face offs, kinda tough but at some point we need dudes who score more than 8, 12 goals a season. Seriously.
