youngblood is on NBC sports - Scottie Upshall
Im sure someone will complain about how Youngblood needs to pass the puck more. Let me guess hes not physical enough. |

Why does it seem like he lets in a softee a game? Breakdowns happen during a game but dribbling pucks should be stopped by your goalie. I am not a Bryz hater, but it is getting old. - Lexington Flyer
You know what else is getting old? Watching other teams skate through our zone like it's the Skatezone in Voorhees. No one wants to stand someone up, take a body or at least negate the other guy's stick oh and god forbid someone not turn the puck over in the high crease. Why is it so much to ask the team just do the simple easy things? Maybe doing more of this helps a struggling goalie get his confidence back and get in a groove. |

Rinne was better but to say he was the sole difference is giving the rest of the team which put in a half a$$ effort for like the 4thgame in a row, a big pass. Sorry but the goalie may be expected to win a game once in a while but the friggin team can't look like they all have the flu for a half a dozen games. - JoeRussomanno
I'm just saying that rinne was really good and I think you're selling short the NSH def effort. I don't think the flyers had enuf traffic in the 1st period and got a little frustrated in the 3rd. still, we had enuf chances to win that rinne turned away. |

Bryzgalov outplayed by the opposing goaltender yet again. Rinse, repeat.
At this point I'm ready to hand the reigns over to Bobrovsky. The team plays better in front of him, and he has been flat out the better goaltender. Salaries be (frank)ing damned, play the guy who gives you a better chance to win. |

The big question is how do they fix it? - stveshdy
Simplify. If a guy is standing in front of your net, tie up his stick or move his ass out of the way. If you have the puck on your stick, you don't always have to make a home run pass. Sometimes getting it out of your zone is all you can do. Bank it up and off the glass.
If you have a two on one, let the goalie have the shot, take away the pass. Don;t waive your stick at a shot on it's way to the net. If you try to block a shot where you're going to screen the goalie, make sure you block it.
A lot of times it's just trying to do too much. Other times, it's simply overthinking and not just using fundamentals. |

Rinne is a very good goalie. He is probably one of the best in the league. Even before we acquired and signed Bryzgalov, I would still rate Rinne better than Bryzgalov coming into the year. |

Im not the one that said Rinne was the difference. If you had to ask me I would have mentioned their defense. Ours is nonexistent. Maybe that's the difference. I didn't see the Flyers all over the other goalie for a majority of the game like the Preds were on Bryz. he did make a beatiful save towards the end there with Like 4 predators on him, but no one saw that. |

I agree that Rinne was very good and a big reason why Nashville won the game. I agree in part about the Nashville defensive effort as they checked the Giroux line very effectively. But the Flyers still had 38 shots against them, and has some very good chances. |

Makes sense. Fundamentals seem to be lacking with this defensive core. |

Oh, and before anyone else decides to blame Bryzgalov for throwing guys under the bus, he said the guys played very well and worked hard and deserved to get a point out of the game. Took blame himself, again. |

Many times they're overly concerned with creating offense and rushes while in their zone, and they pay the price. |

I saw it, and Bryzgalov made some very good saves in the game. I don't think he was awful, and I don't think he was great. I think he was just okay. We need him to be more then okay. But I do agree 100% that the Flyers need to put a better team defensive effort together in front of him and that will make him better.

The forwards and goalies are lacking in them as well. It's not just the defensemen that are guilty. |

maybe you're just a tad over sensitive for even inferred criticism of bryz. prob is, I didn't even imply it. |

I only saw the third goal against, although it was a double deflection it could have been stopped. Went right through his wickets. |

Honestly, I dont care who takes the blame at this point but they need to start playing better in every aspect of the game. |

Yes. They do. And other times they force things rather than make the simple play in the other zones, too. |

Seems like the league has concentrated on taking time and space away from Giroux. They are so frustrating to watch right now, just barely missing on passes, always passing when they should shoot, vice versa. It seems that way at least. |
