That's not the answer to getting Bryzgalov to play better though. And that need to happen. - MJL
The important thing at this juncture of the season, or at any point in the season is to win games. Right now Bobrovsky gives the team the best chance to win. That's all that matters. |

He's made big saves in everygame except for maybe the last tampa game. He made a handful of them tonight. You already said you didn't see the whole game. - JoeRussomanno

I think the answer is make Bobrovsky the starter, or at least give him the bulk of the starts right now. Not worried about massaging Bryzgalov's ego, he hasn't played well enough to be the starter. - PLindbergh31
I have no idea how to spin it so that Bryzgalov should continue to start. I just dont see it helping Bryzgalov sitting on the bench either. I think the Flyers need to give him more consecitive starts and see what happens. If he fails than it might be time to turn to Bobrovsky. |

I agree that the team is playing poorly defensively. But Bobrovsky is playing behind the same team. I'm at the point where the grace period is over, and it's time for him to play. And If I'm Laviolette, I'm strongly considering giving the reins to Bobrovsky. I don't think Bryzgalov was that bad tonight, in fact I think he played well. But not well enough. - MJL
I agree with this for the simple fact I wanna see if my theory that he's got better numbers because he's playing bottom feeders is bs. If not and say Bob can come out and shutout Boston next week, then we have an issue. Not neccessarily a bad one, but it means our highest paid goalie just became the back up. Hey FWIW maybe this is year is a wash for him. happened to few other goalies you know Hockey so I don't have to remind you, but those other goalies bounced back the next year.
In case anyone is wondering (which I doubt) but ill say anway, I believe Bob will be the second coming of Lindbergh I really do. If its to happen this year and not in about 3 years like I originally thought then I'm fine with that too. |

Elite goaltenders make saves they aren't supposed to. It's what makes them elite. Not only does Bryzgalov not do that, he usually allows at least one soft goal a game. Unacceptable in my book. - PLindbergh31
cant argue with that |

And after enduring the Lindros, Primeau, and Gagne concussion era, 6 different Flyers have been concussed in half a season, as well as Pronger's career likely being ended. The concussion bullpoop is really getting (frank)ing old. |

tough break for jvr. perhaps he should take care of his hip issue now as well, and hopefully he can come back for the post season. |

Hey man.
He did make some good stops, but you slice it this way 3 goals on 22 shots? Rinne 2 goals on 38 shots?
I know some were screens & yada yada, but Bob just looks a lot quicker |

Big factor in that is Jagr playing injured. - PLindbergh31

TRUE DAT
do we need another D man, or maybe a sniper to compliment that line for the long haul?

He's the perfect compliment to Lundqvist. As a starter playing 50+ is where he gets exposed. He's a really slight guy who wears down with a big workload. |
