That is the stuff of nightmares my friend! We saw a brown bear while hiking in Yellowstone Park two years ago. I pretty much crapped myself while my wife proceeded to charge forward and snap photos. Granted it was about 100 yards away and running across open land, but it was still terrifying to see a bear that close and personal.

I would as well if it was a brown bear or grizzley. Black bears do not get as big, and I was very calm. This was running as well and on a different path then toward me.
