I also agree w/ the part about bryz fighting the puck as well. often I hear how he wasn't the problem, but if he's not given a solid block of playing time, he won't be the solution.
- isaiah520

If you ask me, Bryz is in a deep funk and definitely needs an easy win or 2. By that, I mean total team defense. Though a franchise goalie shouldn't need an easy win, the fact is that he doesn't appear to be "finding his way out of the woods" and they need something to get him started. If he gets a gimmme or 2, then he should be able to get back into his expected form.

I like Bryz and i feel bad for him... but it just seems like he's not mentally sharp enough right now. He just has to stop the shots he has to stop and he'll be fine.

I'm not a troll. I like to discuss things with MJL. Me and him have debated a lot over the years.

Granted i always wind up getting banned for years upon years for it...

Very funny, he got me banned a few times when I first got on HB. Now I try and play much smarter and avoid suspension and still get in my digs, fun it is

Possible but why do that when you can just ltir him. Any ways I like bryz I think they need to just keep putting him out there so he can get into a groove
- griouxmvp2012

He is also on an over 35 deal his cap hit stick if he retires. I'd think they want that gone first. Bryz can still come around it's way too early in that deal to just give up.

He's not mentally sharp right now and hasn't been all year. The 3rd goal is a perfect example. It got by him because he didn't pick up the puck until it was too late. Why didn't he track the puck there?

I do think that over 35 conctract crap is something that needs to be looked at in the new CBA. If someone has to retire due to injury, it shouldn't be kept against the team.

It's not kept against the team if a player can't play due to injury.

One would hope. It is just that to me it seems that the vast majority of goals he DOES let up are goals that no goalie would stop, yet he is still being benched because of it. That would wear on me as well.

But on the flip side, impossible saves are what separates a franchise goalie from a regular goalie. And he needs to make one every now and then. At least, make more than he has so far.

Agreed... i'm with you on this one. His focus is really off this year.

Some really easy shots have been getting past him and its making him look bad. He's been really slow to react to a bunch of goals too.

That one goal in Ottawa was terrible... forget the dmans name... flu brain

Not really. If it doesn't apply to you don't get all up in arms either. But Im sorry the short time I've been posting here I see some people say some really dumb things and he blows their argument up like a house of cards then they resort to passive aggressive insults that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.

No but wouldn't some teams just like to remove them period and pay a lump sump of what's left of the deal and have zero cap hit.

And I don't think that would happen in the next CBA but it's something that could at the very least be discussed.

Witty slogans aside, I think it's pretty clear that this situation is not as black-and-white as you are making it out to be. If they need to spoon-feed him some wins in order to build confidence, it can go a long way and attribute to a stronger mentality in the future which will "breed" success.

The contract is counted towards the cap during the offseason. Only when the season starts does that players cap hit go onto LTIR.

Or am i wrong? I thought u can't spend LTIR money during the off season?

I know, he is too methodical in his thinking and stubborn is putting it mildly. There is no room for movement in any debate. As bull headed as I am I will listen and if a point I never thought of existed I would come aboard but holy jumpin j---
