It's a pleasure being a fan of a team that shows up and wins big games, a team that plays with balls the size of church bells. Love the no excuse, stand up fan base. Playing a team with an all-world QB on the road, 15-1 record, 13 game home winning streak, no problem, dominated the (frank) out of them. Opposed by an 18-0 Patriots team in the Super Bowl a few years ago found a way to win. It's joyous to see your team win, instead of watching them lose constantly and hearing one excuse after another, that gets old after a while.
As far as rioting in the streets of NY, I don't live in NY, so I don't know what went on there. I didn't hear about any Packers fans who happened to be off duty police officers, as well as war veterans getting stomped on though. - PLindbergh31

Its how i feel about my steelers.
I was joking about the rioting thing thought that would have been self explanatory, sorry if I offended anyone. - JoeRussomanno
It's ok Joe. No big deal. |

No offense but yuck, I don't think one of those lines look anything better than decent. If Im messing with the lines at all Im getting Couturier in the top 6. Everyone roses role is pretty well defined to this point. - hereticpride
no offense taken, i said i didn't really like em myself. just trying to figure out how to split G and Jagr for a bit to get them going again. |

Extremely tough challenge. Niners have an extra days rest, as well as the Giants having to fly cross country. Harbaugh is a fantastic coach, and will have SF ready to play.
I wouldn't be shocked to see any of the four teams still standing win the Super Bowl. |

Should be a really good game as both teams play good defense. I think NYG have the advantage bc of the QB. |

Only good defense the last four weeks, they struggled majority of the season. But they are hot at the right time. Eli is an elite QB, that plays his best in playoff games, he is the antithesis of his Brother. I was shocked at how well Alex Smith played Saturday, he was unreal. |

I dont care how the NYG defense played 15 weeks ago, I look at how they have been playing lately and it looks excellent. Im expecting this game to be close and no matter who wins the NFC will have a decent shot at winning the super bowl. |

the SF Giants had only good pitching and hitting long enough to win them the world series then they went back to being poop |

Rick Tocchet doesn't comment here, but if he did, he might say the following, as he just did on twitter:
"Boston is tough ....very solid ....Flyers D need to clear the net better..."

Agreed. I think the Giants have the most balanced team of the 4 right now. I think SF and Baltimore have a better defense, but the Giants have more offense, NE has a better offense, but NYG have the better defense.
Should be two fantastic games this weekend. Lots of really cool potential storylines.
NYG vs. NE 2007 rematch. Eli vs. Brady in Peyton's house (SB is in Indianapolis)
SF vs Balt (Harbaugh Bowl)
NE vs. SF (Brady grew up in SF idolizing Montana and the 49ers)
NYG vs. Bal (Fassel vs. Billick redux?) |

Jagr is obviously injured. He has the Giroux line fouled up right now. I think Jagr should be removed from lineup and given time to heal. He's not helping the team right now. |

i think giants-ravens would be kind of a dud. any other matchup would be interesting though - FlyerMike18
As a Giants fan, that is the game I'm rooting for, because I think the Giants pass rush would rattle Flacco. As a neutral fan, I agree with you that NYG vs. Balt has the least appeal. |

Jagr is coming off an injury and while he may not be 100%, as Bill talked about, he looked much better then he did the previous game. No reason to take him out of the lineup. Unless there is some new injury that were not aware of. And Jagr is not the only reason why the line is fouled up. Giroux is struggling just as much as Jagr is.

Tebow just needs to bite a bat's head off then he'll have his bases covered with the man upstairs and his downstairs neighbor, win/win scenario. - JoeRussomanno
I have never seen a poorer thrower of the football than Tim Tebow. How he went 8-5 in 13 starts, as well as winning a playoff game defies logic. |
