It was funny a week ago, tonight...not so much.

I'd say it's more likely to be Ruff's last game as head coach. Chicago will have it's way with us when the time comes, as will St. Louis. Winnipeg may be closer, but we'll lose that too. Blow it the (frank) up already.

The only scenario I see playing out with Ruff is that he goes to Uncle Terry and says that he can't do this anymore and resigns.

No way he will waive his no trade and why in the hell would the Ducks move him.

Getzlaf doesn't have a no-trade. I can't see Murray dealing him anyway now. The Ducks are FINALLY playing decent hockey and it would send a terrible message to the players after threatening them.

If theyre still playing badly enough to fire Ruff by then, it won't matter. They would need to ALSO FIRE DARCY (frank)ING REGEIR and have someone else tear this team down.

Maybe a defensive style set-up similar to Phoenix or Nashville might suit this team better? It doesn't look like they're up for playing open flowing hockey (which requires a lot of two-way effort).

We have no identity. Some nights Ruff tries to trade rushes, some nights we're trying to lock it down defensively. It's pretty much a cluster f**k at this point.
