I don't blame him if he choses not to sit on the bench, maybe he just went back to the hotel |

screw darcy and lindy
they are both raping this city of their pride
the one thing I had growing up in buffalo was pride
we are a blue collar town that takes pride in work ethic
how the (frank) did we inherit a lazy piece of poop team that refuses to get their nose dirty once in a game, let alone a shift - homiedclown

I can't stand this guy...from his smug attitude to his Crooked face....when the dominator was facing 40 + shots a game, that guy never acted like that..granted, he forced hisnown trade, but who can blame him!? He saw the forest through the trees...even then he knew Darcy didn't have what it took to build a real winner. We got lucky for a coup,e yrs with drury and briere, but we all know how that ended |

Dear Mr. Pegula:
I have the deepest respect for a fan such as yourself who has cherished the Sabres for as many years that I have and this is why I feel compelled to share this with you:
About 25 years ago I interviewed for a position and was asked by the VP:
"What do you think it takes to be good leader?"
My response:
"Someone who knows how to overcome fear and make decisions when they are the most difficult to make."
My interviewer then followed up with:
"so you are a fearless leader?"
My response:
"No I am not a fearless leader. Fearless leaders just make decisions like a bull in china shop, they do so just for the sake of making it seem like they are doing something. Fearless leaders are those who through longevity of tenure think that no one will ever challenge their leadership and they perform only to survive not to lead. They get to a point where they believe so much in their own success, which might be lofty at best and unchallenged, that they don't want to make changes that will rock their boat, as that is the basis of their survival. Fearless leaders are not true leaders they are strictly survivors!"
What will it take for this team to finally realize that a bold statement of change needs to be communicated to the players and the fans? When Calgary lost 8-0 last week they went out and made a huge move. Here is what I recommend:
When a player like Boyes pulls another bone headed move like he did tonight, he is sent to the showers by Ruff during the 2nd intermission (not given another shift), where Reiger meets him and gives him a ticket for a bus ride to the AHL. Yes, put Hecht or Boyes on waivers and hope they get picked up and clear some salary room immediately and send a message to the players that they their jobs are not secure.
Until Gauthier did it to Calameri, no one ever pulled a player off the ice during a game and traded him...how about we make that difficult decision, that tough statement, pull someone off the ice during the game, bench him, put him on waivers with a bus ticket in his pocket to go to the minors. These players are supposed to be professionals, if the management feel that moves like this will rock the players fragile psyche then the players that they have collected are not tough enough to be players on your team. In fact, the leaders on this team should have already called each other out for their poor performances to date.
Mr Pegula, your words "much is expected from those to whom much is given."
The fans have given the Sabres players much and you and I as fans deserve much better than a blowout like tonight or any night. Time to introduce a bit of hockey hell to hockey heaven!
For those of you, who can please send this message on to Mr Pegula. |

They did quit on miller, if the D poop their pants like that he had ever right to be pissed. I say he quits on them one game and see what happens. Could miller be better? Yes but he doesn't score goals and it I not his job to stop forwards from walking in. - LizzyJo
Excuse s excuses .First goal high glove side his weakspot and Zetz thread the needle.Stop the damn puck plain and simple then complain about the forwards who cant score either. |

It's clearly the team just playing differently in front of Enroth. Our amazing coach must promote that sort of play. And if not, he permits it, so lets see....where the fault at? |

Some of what he says is right on. But yea I gotta agree, Miller isn't all to blame. Yea he's massivly overpaid right now. This year. Weber is a -4. There's your answer. Grags and Weber are awful. I'd put money on it that there are better, more responsible D for 1 mil or less out there. That's should be a priority this summer. |
