Im far from ruling Schenn a bust after 15 games. Thats why I said I need to evaluate him more over an extended period of time. Injuries have hurt that process this year. I think the kid has tons of talent and potential. - stveshdy
I've seen enough in flashes to know that he's got NHL skill. The key is sustaining his health and play. |

Yeah that would work for me. I just really like the way Couturier is playing at center. But until we really have the full potential of Schenn in front of us, it's hard to make any decision. - funmaster18
Just seems like we are in the same position we were last year with center:
Richards
Carter
Breire
Giroux

I'd like to see both get more consistent time in the top six, with the injuries. I would have liked to have seen Jagr sit for another few games and let Schenn or Couturier play with the Giroux Tang Clan |

I think Talbot could easily move to wing and that would solve the issue. We would be young down the middle on the 3rd and 4th line, but that's how I'd fix it Schenn is ready to do that. |

The difference is, that Schenn and Couturier are not established NHLers, and Talbot has played as much wing as he has center in the NHL and is really a no doubt 3rd or 4th liner. |

Jagr looks worn out. Not sure if it's just the injury, schedule, I don't know. Hopefully a bunch of home games will help him rest up, seemed like he was forcing passes lately. He's been getting to the puck, but his decisions afterwards have been questionable. |

Doug Gilmour spent most of his first two seasons playing third and fourth line roles. It's not going to hurt him, as long as he gets minutes. |

I was screaming.......a third round pick? yesssssssss Seriously I like Powe but lets be real, they had guys who could replace what he does - nastyflyergirl
I liked Powe too. And I was a big advocate of him playing more minutes because last year's team lacked so much grit and a willingness to forecheck hard and hit (which Powe always did).
But a third rounder is a steal for him, and clearly Harry Z, and even Rinaldo can bring everything Powe provided and more. Harry Z even brings another Ivy League education.

No Zac attack at morning skate, game time decision for him. We might see Jody Shelley tonight.
Took a puck off his grill yesterday at practice. Was reported he'd play yesterday, guess he might miss tonight. |

I think the opp defense is just making a lot less space for the entire line out there. I dont think it's Jagr slowing. He is still strong on the puck, and the turn overs are more from the opps just gmae planing to expect those type of passes...
I think the line needs a shake up, get Read up there and add someone that can speed into the zone. And give Briere a familiar face.

Talbot should be on the wing. Either this season, of this off-season, I'd like the Flyers to find a 4th line center who can win face-offs and play on the PK. - bradleyc4
Agreed. Loved the Dominic Moore idea you posted yesterday. |

I won't mind it as long as they see some special team play along with it. I have no idea what this team will look like next year though. |

I don't know, I think it's his decision making. He's made a lot of questionable passes during the PPs and even strength. I think it's just mental mistakes. Teams are certainly making it much more difficult for them, but he and Giroux can really play better than they have been. |

I think Jagr's looked like warmed over dogpoop since he came back from his injury. He's been reaching for pucks and doesn't seem to have that comfort level, like he doesn't trust his body to be able to respond to what he wants to do.

Yeah, he is always hunched over making a last effort attempt for a puck, or a stretched out pass that's off the mark or turned over. If it's because of his groin, then let him chill out for a few games. As I said earlier, the all star break will help the Flyers this year. |
