I dont get how peope can say the Leafs dominated the game. They had nothing and got completely forced to the perimeter until the Lombardi goal then things loosened up. Toronto had nothing going for them in the 3rd. Tomorrow's gonna be tough. F***ing hate losing to Ottawa.

The Leafs are a below average team with horrible coaching and goaltending and the youngest D in the league probably.

At this point of the season I don't think anyone really would favor the leafs over the Sens..Sens have Been playing better hockey and getting much better goaltending..teams plays hard all game and even getting outshot we still get the win.

And honestly most of the leafs shots were from the perimeter..

True 60 clear shots from outside the hash marks will not win you most games unless the goalie lets in a soft one. Anderson wasn't spectacular but he was square to most of the shots and had little traffic to contend with.

They got away with goaltender interference on the second one and a couple other missed calls. That being said, the Senators pulled out the win that the Leafs couldn't.

how do you figure. looking at the numbers, and the standings, ottawa is a better team, so you "should not" have beaten us tonight, and you didn't.

They did dominate the second period (and were a bit better in the first). The third was a bit of a snooze fest all-around.

It is getting sickening watching this team avoid going to the net at all costs. Reimer is practically sat on for the tying goal and was dealing with traffic all night.

Anderson didn't see a blue shirt within 10 feet of him.

At one point, Kulemin had a half-breakaway but peeled off and looked for a pass instead (I think it was broken up). DRIVE THE NET!

However, what an embarrassment Phaneuf is. Play acts after a hit, then ducks from Spezza later on who was getting in his face (LMAO). Then only decided to fight big bad Nick Foligno after Rosehill chased him around for a bit and realized he was looking like an idiot for not doing anything himself as captain

Asides from that, thought the Leafs played a good game but Anderson kept us in it until we pulled our heads out of our asses and started outplaying you. Too many individuals on your team though. Everyone trying to carry the puck through the neutral zone without passing. Stick check after stick check from our guys in the 3rd period

Why does someone ALWAYS have to say something incredibly stupid?? You think Phaneuf is scared of Spezza?? Really? Phaneuf wasn't going to fight Spezza, that would be the stupidest thing in the world there was no reason to fight. Phaneuf didn't act, it was a clear charley horse so it stings for a couple minutes. He hates staying down when he's hit, he gets embarrassed when he gets hit hard. Then, the FIRST OPPORTUNITY he had to go with Foligno, he did it. Even with his bruised jaw. Not many players take matters into their own hands like he did. Get a clue.

Can we stop with this? Burke met with Schenn and told him he's not going anywhere, unless a GM offers him a deal that he cannot refuse. Burke probably highly overvalues Schenn. He's not getting traded.

Burke needs a trade or coaching change to liven these guys up again.

They need to get Reimer back mentally from his injury. Other teams are crashing the net and closing in on his space, which is getting in his head. Only natural for a person to be a little tentative after a traumatic injury like a concussion. The brain needs to have controlled drills with people crashing the net and closing in with no painful ramifications, to overide its basic instincts.

Anyone else's thoughts?

i think that all this talk of us trading for a forward is fun and all but we need a goalie more
