ya I'm loving Kadri with Lupul. That line should do well.
plus it splits focus for defenders too. can't just load up on 1 line now. - Big_Lightnin
this.. exactly how i feel.. if the grabo line was rolling (which it isnt) its not as much of an issue.. but wilson needs to get his team scoring..cause right now they are sputtering bad |

really really really bad example.
any other duo in the league, that answer is yes. Happens all the time - Big_Lightnin
how is that a bad example?
and no. it doesnt happen all the time. |
|
|
|
I will remember this you guys. I want no complaints from you two about how the forwards play our next game. |

it wont.
How about keeping the guys that made their way to being 2 in the top 5 in scoring for most of the season together? - Cherry--Skoal
cause keeping them together has us in 9th place

because teams have figured out how to stop them.
Look at their numbers the past month and a half.
No one expected them to keep the numbers up, but I don't see anything wrong with it. |

any other duo in the league, that answer is yes. Happens all the time. Trying to get other lines scoring.
Leafs have lost 3 in a row with them together cause zero secondary scoring.
time to do something, this is decent idea. - Big_Lightnin
actually grabo has been hot fire.
so saying zero..is incorrect. |
|
|
|

yeah, and this will send us down to 12th. |

cause the Sedins are (frank)ing twins and have played together since birth for christ sake. of course they will never be split up.
yes it does happen all the time. Hawks do it with Toews and Kane when they slump or team slumps. Ottawa back when they were good would split Heatly-Spezza routinely to try to get other lines scoring. Detroit mixing their lines all the time.
Leafs need to get other lines going. Even if just for a game or 2 to get confidence.

yeah it does actually.. coaches break lines up to stimulate scoring throughout the lineup all the time..
what has happened here is the leafs attack has become predictable.. so its easier to defend.. this is a way to switch it up.. brings a different look and messes up the opposition game plan.
then once more than two guys are rolling you shift back |

So who would you start in goal Thursday against the Wild? - Popcorn Kid
No idea. Monster was allowed 2 losses before Reimer got in, but before that he won 4 in a row and had 2 shuts out. Reimer didn't play great last night. He had some huge saves but let in a softy by Turris. |
|
|
|
Alright, I hope I'm wrong.
But, chemistry will be an issue. and we can't afford the time for them to figure it out.

the good teams rarely break up the first scoring line. |

wow..
well if the leafs are completely relying on kessel and lupul to score together they have zero business calling themselves a playoff team. |

That's why his line wasn't touched
Leafs are running 3 scoring lines with this roster. Only one line (plus Grabo recently) has been scoring consistently.
I guarantee you Kessel and Lupul are still together on PP. |

leafs attack predictable? easily defended?
the leafs attack is counter and speed.
you can not defend speed in this new nhl. |

Im guessing he goes back to Reimer.. I think push comes to shove Wilson is a Reimer guy. The way he is a Crabb guy too |

I'd say with lombardi on top line, they are all the same skill level.
agree with what was said early (by you?) Kessel is going to have less room. Hopefully Lombardi can finish - Big_Lightnin
Twas me who said Kessel would have less room. |

maybe could also substitute keywords "good teams" with well coached |

i never did, but we will fall when we break these two up.
is it news to you that the only reason why we are half good is because of those 2?
now we break it up |

can't afford for them to keep losing either.
though last night they looked much better than on the weekend.
Still, I like it. It's a shake up. Can always switch the lines back in the 2nd period if it doesn't work, but certainly worth a shot.
