and that's the logic of the split. Lupul gets one with Connoly and Kadri, gets them a bit more confidence. Same for Lomardi - he actually looked like he belongs on the roster last night. Maybe some ill advised shot selection, but when the first 30 footer goes in, you just keep shooting.

I like Lupul -Connolly-Kadri. Would rather have seen more shuffling and put Kulemin with Kessel and get him off the snide that way.

Not taking anything away from Lupul, but he gets a lot of open looks cause Kessel draws 2 defenders and the goalie's attention then slips a pass, like last night. Could be good for Kulemin.

Kessel's line is going to get worked physically

I like the mix-up too. Personally, I think Lupul grabo and kule are the best players on the team. They all play 200 ft. of the ice, usually play hard for 60 minutes and can be relied on to up the tempo.

I see some people saying the new D pairings have Phaneuf and Schenn together. If true, I'm excited to see how Luke handles himself against other team's top lines. There's no reason why he can't do a better job than Aulie, especially with some confidence. If he gets in the routine of playing big minutes like last year I think he could be great and this pairing could be one for the next few years.
