Even though we have posted on here awhile and have never really debated... I agree with everything you said. Have a good night and let's hope poop changes.

Yes, the Leafs are almost a religion and we want it restored to its past glory. I was 9 years old when they won the Cup and thought that I would see even more. Sad to say, but I'll be eligiable for seniors discounts, later this year. When I see Johnny Bower, I wonder what that man must think about the dispair of not seeing his beloved team win another Cup in his lifetime. I have not bought a Leafs Jersey, since the late 1970's, but when my wife suggested that she wanted to get me one for Christmas, I said sure. I wanted to have one of those '67 Jerseys, that they use for their third Jersey. I had it done up, with #19 and the name Henderson on the back. With all of the comings and goings of Leaf players that never won anything since that day, I thought a tribute to Paul Henderson was in order. It's coming up to the 40th anniversary, of "The Goal", and I thought it was fitting. Funny, I also saw the restored version of Faceoff, on Blu Ray recently, and saw the remnents of the last Leaf glory team, in that movie. Paul Henderson played a cameo, a year before the famous goal. He was traded to the Leafs, in 1967-68, but wore the '67 crested jeresy for his first two years as a Leaf.

Last post for me tonight.

I can only say one last thing. If Burke doesn't get something done soon, this season will fall by the wayside. The team is at a crossroads and their weaknesses have been exposed. We have average goaltending, lack of size on the top two lines, and an unwillingness to crash the net. Leafs are successful, when they score off the rush, but score very few ugly goals. Teams get it, on how to beat the Leafs. Trap them, keep them to the outside, try to score early and force them to open up and feast on the turnover. Brian Burke has to make a move soon. He cannot allow this to go on any further.

- PrinceLH

You left out that Reimer needs to be bumped and they need to drive our net. Monster also gets effected this way.

Resorting to the perimeter for stretches has been a calling card of Wilson coached teams.

Everyone knows Kessel's moves now and can defend against them if they stick to a system and do not allow them to get a good rush going.

The biggest issue we have is lack of a defensive system. We count on a quick counter attack which allows us to panic when we get trapped in our own end. It has gotten better but we will never be able to protect a lead like this and that is the mindset required for a good playoff run.

Wilson has done well with getting most of his young guys to respond but overall he doesn't know when to calm them down.

Once the Sens start failing, and they will...

These same trolls will be nowhere to be found.

... they were life and death to beat the Leafs this evening.

The Leafs are a below average team with horrible coaching and goaltending and the youngest D in the league probably.

The danger signs are there for the Sens . Take solace in the fact that they are enjoying an incredible run right now... that will not last.

I have been here through thick and thin.

I am normally civil.

Today, I reserve the right to say HA, but only because it was a game day and the Senators won

Good luck the rest of the way.

No offense to the Sens, but we "should" have beat you tonight, too.

Leafs don't get motivated for meaningful games. Consistent theme under Rotten Ronnie.

My untouchable list would be Lupul, Bozak, Kessel, Kulemin, Phaneuf, Liles, Gardiner, Schenn, and Colbourne. Other than that nucleus everyone is available.

Who are your untouchables?

Kulemin and Bozak are untouchable??? Hahaha

You were 7 points up with 3 more games played (a possible 6 points right there).

Hardly an open and shut case. There isn't a whole lot of difference between the abilities of our two rosters, but you've got a real coach, apparently.

You're not so far ahead of us that we shouldn't have won, especially after grabbing a two goal lead. It's not like you're the 1970's Canadiens here.

- Leeman4Gilmour

The teams are pretty close, but the Sens have more offensive depth/balanced scoring. they have a stronger goalie and like you mentioned a better coach.

KAdri who shouldn't have come out in the first place, should be back in tomorrow. It's pointless to dress Rosehill if he's not doing to do poop.

Schenner was a freight train last night! How many hits did he get? 10?

The Spezza goal shouldn't have counted, unless the rulebook states that you can sit on a goalie, like a fat man sits on his Lazy-boy recliner.

Indeed. And he still only played 16 and changed. Only 2 and a half in the 3rd. Don't you just love the retard behind the bench?? Clueless.

Yeah, in those 2.5 minutes, didn't he register a huge hit, and a few minor ones. I thought he played great.

Meh, it happens all the time.

You seen the waved off goal from the Habs against the Sens?

Michalek pushes Kostitsyn in the crease, habs score, ref waves off the goal and sends kostisyn to the box.

I could troll the Leafs fans but I wont

However, what an embarrassment Phaneuf is. Play acts after a hit, then ducks from Spezza later on who was getting in his face (LMAO). Then only decided to fight big bad Nick Foligno after Rosehill chased him around for a bit and realized he was looking like an idiot for not doing anything himself as captain

- skelly96

FWIW, I'm disappointed he had to do anything at all. It shows just how pathetic Toronto is when it comes to the extra-curricular stuff. Someone... anyone... should be going out to avenge one of their best players and Captain.

I thought the hit was fine, but if you watch the way he lands... on his neck, it doesn't surprise me he was a bit hurt when coming down.

Schenn should be playing 20 minutes a night but when you see Steckel on the ice with the goalie pulled you know where the coaches head is at so it doesn't surprise me Schenn gets 16 mins.

Yeah, I saw that. Just venting frustration.

How's Rene Bourque doing? I only saw his hit on a highlight reel, that was almost "questionable"

In the 3rd?? I don't think so.... he may have, but I don't recall him doing anything in the 3rd (how can he in 2mins).

But he had 2 huge hits early in the game.

Behind his own net, he drove some dude into the boards. I remember it, because I thought "Oh, there he is. Haven't seen him in a while"

Steckel was 50% on the draw last night (lost that last one). Lombo was 8-0 last night. One of the better leafs last night. Maybe he should have been out there instead of a 4th line plug who really wasn't doing his thing last night.

I like what he brings size, speed and scoring touch.
With guys like Kostitsyn, Bourque, Pacioretty, Cole, Moen, Blunden and Eller, one would say the habs are no longer smurfs. Centers are small, but they play with much bigger wingers now.

maybe, I don't remember. Should have been out there more.

Komi on the ice with a minute to go down a goal in the previous game. Our coach is the bestest.
