My untouchable list would be Lupul, Bozak, Kessel, Kulemin, Phaneuf, Liles, Gardiner, Schenn, and Colbourne. Other than that nucleus everyone is available.

Who are your untouchables?

Kessel
Lupul
Phaneuf
Gunnarson
Franson
Gardiner

I like what he brings size, speed and scoring touch.
With guys like Kostitsyn, Bourque, Pacioretty, Cole, Moen, Blunden and Eller, one would say the habs are no longer smurfs. Centers are small, but they play with much bigger wingers now.

- Pecafan Fan

So you guys liked that trade? Pretty even in your opinion? My brothers a Calgary fan, and he was pretty disappointed with it. Bourque was also one of his favorites though.

Steckel was 50% on the draw last night (lost that last one). Lombo was 8-0 last night. One of the better leafs last night. Maybe he should have been out there instead of a 4th line plug who really wasn't doing his thing last night.
- burn

He lost the last two.

Lombardi was good on the draw for a change but IMO did a great Jason Blake impersonation all night. Skating fast while shooting the puck weakly at the goalie doesn't cut it for me. My sister shoots harder. Never used a linemate all night. Not that his linemates were worth a crap.

maybe, I don't remember. Should have been out there more.

Komi on the ice with a minute to go down a goal in the previous game. Our coach is the bestest.

- burn

I'm not going to diss Komi much, because he has been better this year. He's taking away valuable and developing ice time from Luke though, which is my only beef with him this year.

I like the trade.

As much as Cammalleri was hot in the playoffs 2 years ago, he was a major disappointment the rest of the way.

Montreal wins it for a couple reasons--- dumping salary being one, and then grabbing some future assets. A pick and a prospect were in the deal right?

Calgary is a joke right now... "going for it".

TSN was saying that Calgary won the trade. I'm not sure that they did. Bourque can be a hell of a good player, if he can stay healthy. Cammy runs hot and cold, and can leave you wanting more from him.

Yeah, they got a prospect and a 2nd round pick.

Cammalleri is gonna pocket 7 million per season for the next 2. Holy mother (frank)ing overpayment!!!

They most likely believe Cammy + Iggy = another 39 goal 80+ point year.

I agree. They remind me of the Leafs in the early 2000's. Hanging on by a thread, hoping to finally get it done. Then Sundin leaves, Tucker is bought out, Roberts and Nieuwendyk take off, Cujo and Eddie both left via UFA status, McCabe was ran out of town, and Kabby was just starting to lose the elite status defensemen.

Calgary fans are in for some disappointing years.

his comment was irrelevant to tonights games,as was mine

trolling the leafs is like making fun a fat person for being fat.
they know their fat, and leafs fans know their team blows.

- wingz4life

I think that pretty much sums it up.

I have never quite understood the Leafs trolling. First of all, man up and pick a tough target. It is easy to kick a team/fanbase when they are down for so long and second, the Leafs fans here are FAR from the most obnoxious fanbase. Vancouver first, followed by Philly, then Buffalo this past summer, then some Aholes in Montreal... THOSE are the most obnoxious people here.

The only difference is that Leafs nation and Leafs management never really saw it coming.

I think Calgary, and their fans have seen this coming for a couple years. They just tried to do whatever they could, whatever the cost, to win for Iginla. The pain for them is only just beginning.

Better than Lidstrom? Nobody in their right mind would say that at this point. But for 21 years old, he is on his way to being quite something.

- sens_in_5

I would say it.

Karlsson, right now is better than Lidstrom right now.

Will he have a better career, well that would be tough to do. But right now I think he would be the first or second Dman I would pick to build around (Weber).

Montreal I think is slowly and quietly trying to dismantle their overrated/overpaid core. Cammalleri being the first piece shipped out of town.

How awesome could the Leafs D-core have been, eh? If only........

Bryan Berard didn't get tomahawked by Hossa
Dmitri Yushkevich didn't develop the blood clot in his leg.
Danny Markov was rewarded with more Leaf time
trade Alex Karpovstev for McCabe earlier
Tomas Kaberle played the same
Jason Smith wasn't traded for hockey pucks

Berard-Smith
Kaberle-McCabe
Markov-Yushkevich

But instead, they tried to patch it together with Aki Berg, Jerkoff Lumme, Ken Klee, Bryan Marchment and Dave Manson.

I think Glucker said he was Mike Green-like?

He's much better defensively than Green will ever be. MUCH better.

Yes they trade their core for guys signed to long term deals, very "rebuildy."

For a guy with a much lower cap hit.
They still need to ice a team, you know?

Everyone was saying how the habs need more size and grit up front.
Bourque brings that imo.

A lot of long term deals on your team man, it's a bit worrisome (Bourques is fine since it's like 3.3). http://capgeek.com/charts.php?Team=2
