So how does he get the opportunity to convince you that he can play at that level then? - kgrpitt
The same way a lot of other Goalies did. Continue to work hard and bide your time, and wait for an opportunity. Look around the League. A lot of good goalies had to wait, incuding Bryzgalov himself.
Good that Bryz played solid, I do think Meszy got his stick on the puck that beat him but good for Bryz for not pointing fingers.
Love the defense scoring and this may sound odd because he scored but Timonen needs to get his shot down. He hit Cooter in the head last month, hit another teams player last week (can't remember who) up high and that goal last night was high. Low and hard is the way to go with point shots.
Nice 5-1 win. - Buts16
I think the puck deflected too. I think Bryz feels he's already the bad guy, so he's willing to take whatever blame comes his way.
Homer got what he thought was the best goalie on the market. He signed him to a deal to show the Flyers were committed to bringing in a good goalie and stopping the rotation of average goalies. I liked the move but I coudl do without the 9 year contract. Either way, what's done is done...
I'm rooting for Bryz and I'm rooting for Bob, the team needs both of them to step up and do their job.
As stated a few times, I think 24/7 screwed up Bryz's transition period and now that it's over, I can see him making strides to being the goalie we all want him to be.
I just don't get all the debating his contract. It's a done deal, they can't go back on it. This is what the Flyers have, let's root for the guy...
he could be a late bloomer in getting used to his team, you never know.

? That was his oppurtunity and he did well with it then the team goes and signs another goalie to 9 years. Just saying it seems like an odd move that's it.

He's 22, surely that won't be his only opportunity. It's really not an odd move at all.
I'm within the majority who would prefer to have Weber but if the Flyers are really after Suter, I have to ask this. If Suter is available at the deadline, wouldn't it make sense to see if they'll take Matt Carle to replace what Suter brings? I know it couldn't possible be a Carle for Suter straight up deal but Nashville is still going to make the playoffs. If Nashville doesn't get a return that somewhat replaces Suter in some shape or form prior to the playoffs, they'd be stupid to trade Suter at the deadline at all.

jody shelly "unloved by fans" a team favorite
Judging from the reaction of fans on Twitter and chat rooms, Jody Shelley might be the most unloved Flyer of them all - mydoglicks
I don't think its that he's unloved so much as he doesn't bring much on the ice. If he was at least fighting once in a while like he's paid to do, then yea I could feel better, but if he's gonna spend his time either being a healthy scratch constantly and when he does play skate behind the play, then what as a Fan am I supposed to love?
