Isles top Unit is like 39% on PP. Offset by Rolston 2nd Unit that is 0%. bringing us to total of 19%.
I think team is playing great right now. I think making Nino earn his stripes on to get to top lines is working.
However, Its just stupid though, that Rolston gets preferred treatment playing on top lines and on the point for PP. How is he a better option than Hamonic at Point?

I'm a huge flyers fan and what happened to the Rangers fan is an absolute disgrace!!! Yeah, I'll talk trash and talk the sport to another fan of a different team, but I would never have someone splash water or beat someone up just because they like a different team.....what a disgrace. |

Who's Couturier? Could we have drafted him?
(I know we could have gotten him instead of Strome. Same with Fowler instead of Nino. Just saying.) |

Feel Free to go on youtube you will see plenty of other sports teams fans getting into fights and beating one other up, even your beloved Islanders fans. So feel free to keep the stupidity of the beginning of your blog to a minimum. |

Dee, don't forget that there's gotta be some Islander fans out there with 11 prior convictions too. Different demographic, different city, different aura....sure. Not sure if we'd beat any opposing team fan on Hempstead Turnpike, either. But still... |

Dee Karl: Isles @ Flyers: Will Discipline Be The Difference?
Planes, Trains and Buses. Game two of the Dad's trip in Philly -- the City of NOT SO MUCH Brotherly love. - Dee Karl
Oddly enough, all of the people involved in that fight are wonderful residents of the garden state.
You wanna make the trip from NY to the game tonight... I advise you to do so, and not fear wearing your Isles jersey (so long as its not that ugly 3rd, because then you deserve to be punched in your mouth). Just do yourself a favor and be smart. I wouldnt go to NY wearing any Philly sports apparel and talk poop and run my yap. Go cheer your team but dont be a clown. |
|
|
|
So are you going to Philly for the game tonight? Take a cue from the news and DON'T wear our Isles jersey. I wouldn't want any Isles fans to suffer the same fate as that of the Ranger fan beaten into a coma after the Winter Classic.
Did you hear? The guy they caught for the crime has 11, count them ELEVEN, prior convictions including assault. So, just watch yourself.
What a remarkably stupid thing to write. Look out! Every Flyers fan has a violent criminal record!
OMG! A fight that doesn't include a Flyers fan!

heading to philly today for the game and a two day trip with my girlfriend. Hopefully we get out alive. It was a christmas gift from her to go to this game. I guess the 2 years of telling her it isn't safe to go to games there didn't sink in. Thought that counts. |

I'm going to the game. In all seriousness, the reputation of Philly is that anyone with an opposing jersey gets messed with. Certainly not violently but to the point of being ridiculous. I'm wearing my jersey. Just hope I don't get beer thrown at me or my girlfriend. |

Enemy territory to go see a team the Isles never beat? That's worse than getting socks! Kidding, hopefully the Isles pull a rabbit out of a hat for you guys. |

Ive been to about 250 Flyers games in my life.. I can tell you right now.. you will get heckled and what not.. but thats expected anywhere. It wont get ugly, the people around you should be fine, and you should have a good time.
Do yourself a favor.. dont be an bumhole. Dont be the guy who, when the Isles score (still hoping for Bobs first shutout), stands up and starts pointing to the scoreboard and yelling at fans and just being a total jerkoff. Thats a recipe for bad news. I have only seen 3 fights in all of those games... and each one involved a drunk fan from the other team, and a drunk fan from the Flyers.. and both were loud the entire game...

Years ago I went to an Isles/Rangers game...on St. Patrick's Day. When they announced the stars of the game the guy in front of us yelled, "The security guards!" |

A lot's changed in Philly since the old Spectrum stopped being used. Like the Iggles with the Linc, once the Vet went down and the 700 level disappeared, the real moronic fans were priced out. Philly gets a bad rap and there's no doubt they have some mouthy ignorant kids that show up, but the fans are a passionate as anywhere. I've been to plenty of Flyers games in Isles gear and only heard a 'Yashin sucks', which I turned and totally agreed with.
That said, I have seen things at those old stadiums that would definitely take the wind out of the 'it happens everywhere' sails. I was at the 49ers/Eagles Monday Night Game that ended up causing the courtroom to be put in the stadium. Had several crazy things done near me including someone firing off a boat flare gun, beer poured on a young child for wearing a Young Jersey, a guy hogtied after he hit an old man with 'something'. Fun times |

I also remember seeing a couple of Eagles fans trying to light a Saints jersey on fire...while the guy was still wearing it....Those jerseys are surprisingly flame retardant.
Also remember seeing a Cardinal (then St. Louis) fan get thrown down several steps after he danced around to celebrate Neil Lomax's touchdown....I mean hell....Neil Lomax! You have to dance if that guy scored! |
