I was happy when we picked Strome, but knew it wasn't good when Couturier fell to the Flyers and would be in our division. If anything though, I was mad at Ottawa and especially Winnipeg for passing on him and letting him get that far down.

He also took a giant dive on the staios hit. No way he doesnt miss a shift if he was indeed hit in the head. He wasn't. He just got nailed and then played dead to try and stop play/draw penalty. F talbot.

Talbot was at the center of all the nonsense in the brawl game vs Pittsburgh last year, after he cheapshotted Comeux I think in the previous game with the DP/Johnson fight. Talbot came out of that game looking like less than a man, he got beat up all over the place out there.

Ehh he was the part of the nonsense but the hit on Comeau wasn't really dirty, although it did result in a concussion. Frankly, the fact that Cooke ran DP 3x in the game before was the biggest part, along with the fact that DP got his dumb face crushed in by Johnson..which by the way I fully acknowledge he deserved (and to be honest I enjoyed every second of it).

Maxipad has always been a known turtle and last year he put it on full showcase. After taking a cheapshot run that left Comeau with a concussion and unpunished by the league, the Isles exacted their own revenge against the Pens. Rather than stand and fight with his team, Talbot turtled and waited for the smoke to clear.

you know who disgusts me in that second game, the brawl game? Gillies I think is his name, the guy who boarded a penguin, then tried punching him when he was clearly dazed.......and then to top it off, he's standing there talking trash to the injured penguin......Islanders fans should not complain about talbot after what that scumbag did.

Next year I'd like to see JT, Strome, Frans and Czikas as the centers 1 - 4. I think a first year Strome will be more productive than Bailey.
