Sheesh, about time they got one against that team! - UIF
Figures I would not be able to see it. Isles better be careful they will be getting close to 500. If Isles are in the playoff hunt will they deal to improve the team? |

Are there any Flyer fans still floating around in here? I'm curious to hear their take on Schenn. I know he was out for awhile, but he hasn't put up many points in the games he's played. Just rookie growing pains or something else?
Edit: Streit - eichiefs9
Schenn has had a lot of injuries this year, including a concussion. He sometimes looks good but most of the time is pretty invisible. |

There ya go Grabs pad those stats - eichiefs9
One sure fire way to get Grabs to score against the Flyers...remove "Bob".
Nice win tonight. Frankly we should have scored about 6 given the breakaways but beating these guys in the own building is good enough for me. As a prisoner in the Philly area, DirectV customers are blacked out so I had to watch the grainy video on my computer. Still quite enjoyable though. Jackson (the Flyers announcer) made the comment that JT looked more dominant than any player the Flyers had played against this year. The leagues taking notice, this kid is heading to elite status soon. |

depends on what they'd have to give up. We're still not quite deep enough to start selling off assets for rental players. |

It would be nice to see this team with a real shot and see how Wang and Snow react. I'd rather the Isles bring in guys under contract but were getting ahead of ourselves. |

It's crazy...he was good enough last year, but he's an entirely different player now that he's improved his skating. Where did that outside move come from that he's been showing lately? It's nice to see a talented player that takes nothing for granted but keeps demanding more of himself. On the other hand, it's frustrating to see so much success from one line and barely anything from the others. |

Nino should move up to see if he can help get another line going. Defense much better without Mottau and Staios. Bring up Ullstrom for Rolston now. With some more improvements this team can be very interesting. |

If you recall, the Isles worked absolute wonders in Tim Jackman's skating ability in just one offseason. He went from looking like a roller hockey wannabe guy to becoming one of the fastest skaters on the team in a single summer. Tavares has had a similar improvement in his skating ability. While he doesn't have the most beautiful stride, he actually has decent speed now, deceptive speed. Imagine what this kid's going to look at by the time he hits 25-26 years old! |

he was great ... might be the best I've seen anyone play this year, with the possible exception of Giroux a few weeks ago. |

What's scary is, Tavares has been doing this all season. I still can't believe that Neil Greenburg @ ESPN doesn't believe that Tavares belongs on the list of top 25 players under 25 yoa in the league. |

46 points in 45 games for Tavares now. This on the leagues second lowest scoring team. He now has 30 points in his last 23 games (19 in his last 11).
Even more impressive, he's now only 6 points out of the league lead. I'm not sure when the last time a player from a team that was bottom five in scoring lead the league but I'd have to think it's been a LONG time. |

Tavares is simply incredible. he was 10X better than any other player on the ice.
How about my boy Bailey, One breakaway, One finish.
how many times has bailey been allowed to take shootout? i think never.
KO has really elevated his game. Isles defense looks great without Mottau and Reese is more sound than staios.
lets keep it going, keep beating the eastern team ahead of us and we may find ourselves in playoff picture. |

Tavares is incredible. He will be top three in the league as soon as next year. Nabby has been real good lately as well. Streit is beginning to play much better also. Rolston made a couple of decent plays today too. Still horrible though. |

I've been watching hockey for over 30 years, and Tavares is playing at a level that blows my mind. Forget his raw skill, his determination shift after shift is something I'm not sure I've ever seen. To be this dominant at this age is downright scary. |
