I'd rather have all of them, and pursue a free agent defenseman, rather than trade them for one. - Jsaquella
i would sacrifice JVR...Just dont think he plays with fire inside most of the time... |

I still don't know why Nashville would trade either of their top 2 defensemen without getting something back in return that will help them just as much for the playoffs. JVR and Schenn don't replace what Weber can bring this year in the playoffs. |

If the Flyers reached out to me for Weber, I definitely would. - 77rams
If the Flyers reached out to me to get Weber I say lookie here bro Ill hook ya up but ya gotta do for me..... Quid Pro Quo my friend Buts thats me tho |

They could somewhat replace what JvR and Schenn are doing now, not sure about long term. There's some skill in ADK now, but I don't see a Pronger or Schenn. - Jsaquella
Matt Read is having a fantastic season but he has to repeat what he's doing now in order for me to be a believer. It's great riding the wave right now but next season at his age, he could either get better or flop. It took this kid a long time to get an NHL team's attention. |

In order to get a franchise player like webber your going to have to give one up....and i dont mean the 6 game beast JVR...You all know deep down inside its gonna take giroux...if im the flyers i turn around and say no thank you.....
Who would actually do Giroux for Webber? - Philly1980

I'd need a big return. Far too much talent to simply trade him for less than something really significant.
I think he's still learning what it takes to dominate, espcially based on his developmental path. |

can you get anyone through free agency like Weber though? Suter may be available..but at a massive cost if he goes UFA. Massive enough to hinder your cap in the future if not cripple it. He goes UFA and the bidding will be ridiculous.

Me too. If something goes down for either player before the year is out, it will have to blow the socks off of Nashville. They have all the power until the season is over. |

I wouldn't simply give up any of our young talent and expect them not to suffer the Sophomore Jinx next season with added responsibility because we traded other youth away. |
