Team D is a total train wreck. These kind of games are just far too common now - eayost
Thats the issue with this team. We keep saying how deep they are with four quality defenseman, yet this becomes a common theme. I know the forwards need to take responsibility also but it all starts with the defenseman who has the puck on his stick. |

That last 3 on 1 came about because Voracek got outmuscled by Tavares |

The rookies again....keeping this team afloat over the last week. I'd sure like to see Coots play 2nd line mins this year and see how he handles it. Dont know what to do with Briere |

Couturier and Read have something going even strength and on the PK... I hope Lavy keeps them together for at least a few games |

Then thats not on the defensman. Im more concerned when they make bad decisions with the puck behind their own net or trying to make the right outlet pass. Pressure seems to affect these guys big time. |

The same things happen with the forwards, though. I'm not saying the defensemen don;t need to be better, because they do. But the forwards have not been good at helping out tonight. |

I agree. Everyone needs to get better. I just expect the defensive group tp be better bc of their experience. |

A lot of the poor play is coming from the Giroux line. Lot of experience on that line. |

I was surprised he didn't get called there, when the Islander fell down. |

Everyone outside of Bob sucked balls tonight. Lava needs to make the tough decisions and start affecting ice time out there. Jagr, Briere have to be put on notice that they can't coast through these games |

Giroux is still a young kid learning to play defense. This is really his first season were he is the guy. |
