I agree with you completly. My point is that with rampant piracy eroding the music industry record companies only make the safest bets. Hence, sending van Halen out on tour for $175 a ticket. Last few years the washed up bands on tour have been way up.

Same reason you also now hear already overplayed 97 rock tunes on 103.3 the edge. It's a safe bet.

i'd say 25-35% are 1st timers trying to see them on possibly their final tour.

The rest are trying to re-live their younger days.

The groups charge that much cause they're greedy and this may be their last payday.

DLR sounds like sh!t now and my main reason for not wanting to go. 80+ to hear that douche, no thanks.
