W was terrible and the current economic woes are mostly his fault. He spent like a liberal with no rules and expanded government to a point where something had to give. It has now and look where we are.

His only shining moment was just after 9/11, but if that event did anything it was to show him that he was woefully unprepared for the office. So, Cheney took a much bigger role and was the primary influence in both the war against terror and the war in Iraq.

I'll take that back... W had two shining moments. His promotion of minorities into high positions within the government was a huge advancement for everyone in this country. He should be applauded for that forever in history books.

The Jeffersonian-Republicans are the "party" to which you are referring, but they dissipated long before the GOP was ever conceived. Thanks for your brilliant input.
