How is that ?
I said the Sabres roster pretty much blows .
My only untouchables on this team are Gerbe (work ethic) Kaleta (hometown boy punk) and Vanek . Myers is even over rated in my opinion .
The Habs roster ? I dont want any one from it .
Take Roy and give us picks or a pick .
I dont want anyone from your roster .
How is that "over valuing" our roster ?
I just look at Montreals roster and it is very unimpressive . Just the facts maam just the facts . - TerryPegs
Seriously? Do you want Tim Kennedy back, also? |

Do you honestly think Ruff made a mistake starting Miller over Enroth in the playoffs last year? Miller is the only reason that we were in that series.
and as far as Enroth carrying the Sabres into the playoffs, Enroth played 7 games in a row when Miller got hurt. Enroth played well but, not any better than Miller was playing - RayHatesDomi
Yeah, Miller got us there?!?! Vanek, Ennis and Gerbe along with Enroth carried the team out of the basement to 8th place with two games to go in the regular season to earn the playoff spot, then Ruff let Miller take his team back. They were on the golf course after seven games, any other coach would ride the hot hand and let the other guy support from the bench. It's a team game, since the Olympics turned Miller into a "superstar" he has lost the team. Morning skate who has the team around him taking shots, cracking jokes... Enroth. Miller takes shots from the coaches and if you think it means nothing look at the support he got when Lucic ran him down... NO RESPONSE. Tell me he is a popular guy in the locker room... It sure doesn't look like his teammates care what happens to Ryan. |

Nope, we already have those type of players here but better forms of them .
Why would I want lesser forms of what we already have ? - TerryPegs
... i wouldn't consider miller better than price at this point. Roy and Plecky are close and i think subban and myers would be a pretty solid d pairing. gorges would help block shot for your team and eller is young and i showing some talent but still needs to develop |

did you forget that it was Subban's first year? i stopped reading when you brought up PIM and +/- to help your argument. - bonzo11
+/- directly reflects how a D-Man is playing in his own end so does PIM... Subban has 51 again this year... so on pace for under 100 still almost 50 penalties? very undisciplined player.
Schenn's rookie season he had 71 PIM he was a -12(only on the ice for four more goals)and is known to be a physical player but does it in a disciplined manner and every year since his +/- has improved from the -12 and his PIM have been low and every season his points have increased.
Subban taking a step back in his development Schenn has developed every season into a bit better of a player on both sides of the puck. Not a lot.. just a bit. |

Seriously? Kaleta and Gerbe are untouchable?
I love Gerbe's work ethic but he's far from untouchable and Kaleta won't even be on the team next year |

So we find that Derek Roy demonstrates no leadership when he tosses his water bottle (agreed!), but when Ryan Miller leaves his team sitting on the bench after getting pulled, it's uh, well, eh, umm, hmm, well, it's Ryan Miller. Get fair, honest and open Gartho. Roy has been bad, Miller worse, and they're both part of the poison "core" that we've been waiting for years to demo real leadership. Ship them both out. |

By inferring that nobody on Montreal's roster is better than a 4th line plug on Buffalo's roster. That's how.
And really, have you seen Buffalo's roster? I wouldn't be throwing around words like "unimpressive" if I were you. - 3M
We are talking trade value Einstein or did you forget that .
In a trade scenario, I dont want anyone back for your pathetic roster in return for what we would be giving .
We would lose to you everytime giving up to much talent and not enough coming back .
Thats why I want picks back instead of actual bodies .
What is going on this year is a product of Lindy and injuries combined.
7-10 players on the Sabres roster are headed for CAREER WORST seasons .
A lot to be said for that and a lot of that needs to go on Lindy's shoulders.
We are short centers ? What does Lindy do ? He seperates the only line that was humming ( Pomms/Vanek/Adam ) and this was before injuries.
Decides to put a rookie (Adam) on the wing when we are in desperate need of CENTERS when Adam is natural CENTER !
The we wonder why half of our prized young talent coming up from Rochester/Portland never pans out .
Lindy gets his fcking hands on them, thats what happens !
Lindy doing his best to fck Adam up . |

gerbe though does have the most heart... and hate to say it but i agree kaleta most likely wont be with us next year its kind of sad. but o well i suppose.
i do think roy, staff and miller are the prime poisons of the team. though roy and staff should be the ones to get the boot first. |

Of course not .
Pat has more skill and adds the physical part to the Sabres game that on most nights is missing .
Pat is more valuable than people give him credit for here .
Pat may very well be the best PKer on this team as it sits as well. |

Why would any Habs fan even suggest trading Price for Miller. That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Price night in and night out is Montreal's best player and the kid is like 24. Miller is an amazing goalie but he is having an off year and is 31.
The habs fan that called in to Montreal radio station and suggested that is ridiculous and any other habs fan to suggest that is f'n ridiculous too.
From a Sabers stand point, yea obviously I'd want that to go down though. |
