Am I the only leafs fan that thinks Schenn sucks and looks like the tinman from wizard of oz trying to handle a puck? |

Of course not .
Pat has more skill and adds the physical part to the Sabres game that on most nights is missing .
Pat is more valuable than people give him credit for here .
Pat may very well be the best PKer on this team as it sits as well. - TerryPegs

Yeah, Miller got us there?!?! Vanek, Ennis and Gerbe along with Enroth carried the team out of the basement to 8th place with two games to go in the regular season to earn the playoff spot, then Ruff let Miller take his team back. They were on the golf course after seven games, any other coach would ride the hot hand and let the other guy support from the bench. It's a team game, since the Olympics turned Miller into a "superstar" he has lost the team. Morning skate who has the team around him taking shots, cracking jokes... Enroth. Miller takes shots from the coaches and if you think it means nothing look at the support he got when Lucic ran him down... NO RESPONSE. Tell me he is a popular guy in the locker room... It sure doesn't look like his teammates care what happens to Ryan. - Lord_Stanley716
and if Enroth would've started thay would've been on the golf course after 5 games.
Enroth played well down the stretch but other than the Ranger's game, he wasn't lights out. Miller flat out stole 2 playoff games
As far as the Lucic hit goes, it isn't just with Miller. The gutless pansies on this team don't stand up for anybody.
I agree that Miller is off this year but I'm supposed to hate him because the guys on this team didn't go after Lucic? I'd much rather hate on the gutless pukes on this team that are scared of their own shadows. You can trade Miller if you want but it won't make Stafford any less of a pu$$y |

+/- directly reflects how a D-Man is playing in his own end so does PIM... Subban has 51 again this year... so on pace for under 100 still almost 50 penalties? very undisciplined player.
Schenn's rookie season he had 71 PIM he was a -12(only on the ice for four more goals)and is known to be a physical player but does it in a disciplined manner and every year since his +/- has improved from the -12 and his PIM have been low and every season his points have increased.
Subban taking a step back in his development Schenn has developed every season into a bit better of a player on both sides of the puck. Not a lot.. just a bit. - beleaf4ever
I don't get why more people don't understand the importance of +/-. |

Keep laughing but I've proved time and time again you overrate/overvalue Subban because if he is supposed to be an "elite offensive defenseman (like habs fans say)" he would get more than 5points than a stay at home D man who plays better in every other defensive category than him.

No, the +/- stat is completely useless. Teams that possess the puck and tend to score a lot have higher + ratings. doesn't take Powerplay points into consideration and represents the entire 6 man unit (including the goalie) on the ice. Any stat that says Green is a better defender than weber and suter is laughable. In fact, he was one of the highest +/- players in the entire league a few of those seasons. Penalty minutes can be inflated by misconducts and fights. not sure why that was brought up in the argument |

Why would any Habs fan even suggest trading Price for Miller. That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Price night in and night out is Montreal's best player and the kid is like 24. Miller is an amazing goalie but he is having an off year and is 31.
The habs fan that called in to Montreal radio station and suggested that is ridiculous and any other habs fan to suggest that is f'n ridiculous too.
From a Sabers stand point, yea obviously I'd want that to go down though. - Sheppy99

Montreal shouldn't be trading for established players right now. They should be focusing on draft picks and prospects. Habs roster as it sits doesn't have the depth to bring in players to right this ship.
Habs should look at what Brian Murray did.
To me if the Habs continue to look for the solution in trading roster players for roster players, they'll just be spinning their wheels. |
