People comparing Myers to Chara need to stop. Myers doesn't have the mean streak that Chara does. And at roughly the same height, Myers is 40 pounds lighter. In fact, Nikolai Kulemin is heavier than Myers.
Myers has height, reach, skating, and skill. But he doesn't have the power that a guy like Chara has. Not even close. He still needs to fill out quite a bit.

One good season... just under 5 million per season... he played 50 games last season and was a ghost in the playoffs.. and his year is already over this season and possibly his career... |

This rumor makes no sense, unless the Habs are shedding tons of cap space in the process, or getting rid of a bad contract (Kaberle ?). PG publicly said he was trying to make the team bigger. Roy doesn't fit that at all. Plus, we already have more centers than we need, which is why Gomez is playing on the wing, or centering our 4th line right now.
And from what I know, PG is scouting teams in the western conference right now. Nashville, St.Louis, LA Kings, Minnesota... |
