It would sort of make sense because if you listen to how plekanec is talking, How he isn't showing up for optionals, how he is playing you would think that he may want out.
I think he is afraid of subban and actually feels bullied by the team right now.
Subban is an IDIOT who needs to SHUT THE FRANK up and start playing more offense and scoring goals. He is one of the only guys that can rush the puck and create a scoring chance, OTHER THAN GOMEZ AND COLE LOLOLOLOL
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-MEZ - gillings
On Tuesday there were a few sites reporting there was a deal on the table involving Gomez that Gauthier was considering to the West.
Last night many were reporting that a deal with LA was nearing completion involving Stoll.
Now we hear Roy.
Seems we desperately are looking for a center. |

I would love to have both, don't get me wrong, but both teams love their own player, what's the need for the swap?? |

It won't happen. Try to remember this is Ek we're talking about. |

If Roy really is involved, and I can't see him being sent the other way unless one of the other players under performing in Buffalo such as Boyes, Leinno, Regher are part of a deal.
Buffalo is deep at center with Adams, Gerbe, Ennis, Roy, Boyes and Hecht so the trade makes sense.
Personally if a trade between both goes down, I can also see Montreal taking Regher as part of it.
Knowing Gauthier is desperate, I'm sure he's ready to gamble the future today to save his ass. I feel for you MTL fans... |

They're both underachieving to the point of needing a change. |

How do you consider one year underacheiving??
Its a slump, it happens for many defencemen. Would you have traded Doughty, Schenn, Myers, Subban, and Fowler?
Give it time, the whole team is struggling at the moment (BUF and MTL). No point giving up a guy when his value is lower. That's my opinion at least.
However, if you don't want him, I know someone who does |

...this trade makes zero sense....we have no center depth and have needed center help all year. Hecht is a winger forced to play center for two years due to lack of depth, Gerbe is a winger, Ennis is a winger, Boyes is a winger who is playing center and Adam is a center Lindy insists on playing on the wing. Roy and Adam are the only centers in all of the players you mentioned....just sayin |
