Im watching the habs practice right now and they all look like they are barely trying. In order to become great you have to always work hard.

What a joke, What do we need him for.

Gomez is ten times better... who cares he makes 7 mill he is worth every penny when you give him a team to play with.

We NEED to make a run for RYAN KESLER

OR mikko koivu.

And the only thing worth going the other way for those teams is thomas plekanec

Your boy also played 43 games so far for 3 goals and 15 assists. Myers has played 27 games and also has 3 goals but only 5 assists. Your guy has played 16 more games this year which equates to more points due to more assists. The totals would be alot closer im sure with totals in assists if myers played those 16 games but due to injuries his point totals are a bit lower. Your player is haveing a good year thus far nothing against him. This is only myers 2nd full year and he shows great skills for being this young. He will not be traded from buffalo I would put money on it considering he just signed a 7 year deal which doesnt even kick in until next year. This year he is only makeing 1 mill 300k in the final year of his deal. Your guy is makeing 800k per year I think both teams are getting off light.

I don't even know why their is a debate, you guys want to keep Myers and we want to keep Subban, end of story

Unfortunately for Montreal, I am afraid that because they are all playing so poorly, they will not get fair value in any player-for-player trade.
They should ride out the season, take a decent draft pick and make their changes in the Summer.

If a deal with Montreal goes down it should smell more like
Derek Roy for Brian Gionta or P.K. Subban,

Why does Buffalo need to get anybody back? Dump him as addition by subtraction.

Replace Roy with Szczechura from Rochester.

I love that this has turned into a Myers and Subban thread, where does it even come from?
Buf and mtl are not making a trade of any kind, when was the last time it happened? teams don't trade within their own division, especially significant players, especially when they're next to each other in the standings.

- habby

Buffalo and Montreal are both next to each other in the standing all right right in the basement of the league. If something benefits both clubs what does it matter if they trade with each other it does not effect anything anyways.

Maybe thats your problem, too many of your defenseman taking face offs.

Generally a guy taking 500+ draws a year would be considered a center.

PS I forgot Pomminville for the list of guys that take draws. And Matt Ellis.

Gomez will look good in a Buffalo uni.

i say no to all of that
- LizzyJo

Then who on Montreal's roster do you think they would trade for a struggling undersized Center like Derek Roy?!?! They are not giving up a young guy like Subban for Derek Roy. Both Gionta and Cole are aging veterans with ties to the WNY area that could bring leadership into a dressing room void of any signs of leadership. For you head scratchers, Gionta is a Rochester native and Erik Cole got a Stanley Cup in Carolina playing with Sabres position coach Kevyn Adams. If you disagree, make a valid point besides I see none of this happening...

Buffalo should start dumping salary of the under acheiving players to other teams for sure. The more cap space we have available equals better chance of signing more free agents that might be better then what we currently have and also more draft picks. I could care less if it takes 2-3 years to build a new squad under pegula from scratch since I have faith he will do the best he can to build a dominating team.

Teams typically don't make trades with division rivals because they don't want to face that player 6 times a season. It happens but it's rare. I don't see Buf and mtl making a trade, especially one including Roy. It doesn't make sense for either team.

yes, what the Habs need is a smallish diving forward.
