JvR?
Which bring me to my first question, What's JvR's status? I haven't gotten around to reading Homer's comments about the concussions of Pronger and JvR himself. I have no idea how bad JvR's concussion is. - Schenn2shine
I beleive JVR is skating. Pronger is in bad shape.

Skating is obviously a good sign for JvR. Tough break for Pronger. Well, it's looking like we can hold it together without JvR until after the All-Star break. I assume that's the best way to go. |

let's see if bryz can build on today against the B's tomorrow...off to a good start. the team started playing better in the 2nd when couts, simmonds and read justed wanted it more than than NJ. |

Should we go with Bryz though? Do we want another Ottawa situation? |

I would go with Bryz. The team especially the forwards have to move their feet like they did after the time out. Bryz has played solidly two games in a row, time to let him keep building the momentum. |

Is Lava showing more confidence in Bourdon? It would be great to have a top 6 defenseman home grown last on the roster for a few years. He seems to play a pretty simple and calm game for the most part. There are growing pains but they are coming less often. - ravishingone
I agree. I'm very pleased Bourdon has continued to play steady and is still with the team.
I'm also thinking it's a good thing that I'm not noticing Gustafsson at all. |

bryz has been a 60-65 gm/yr goalie who thrives on work...so much so he often took it easy in practices. it's time he gets to that level here. |

Seems like when we're about to take on the Rangers or Bruins, one of our important scorers gets hurt.
First outing again the Rangers, Jagr was hurt 2-0
Second outing against the Rangers, Giroux was hurt 4-2
Second outing again the Bruins since the beginning of the season, Giroux is out (6-0)
Winter Classic, Jagr is forced to sit and watch from the bench (3-2)
I think tomorrow speaks for itself. |

@sbaickerCSN: Briere out indefinitely with a concussion. Does not look good at all.

Just back from the game. Ton of Flyers fans in the building.
Simmonds was a complete force out there. His best game as a Flyer imo. Hartnell and Giroux with strong games as well. And Bryzgalov played very well again. Perhaps he is turning a corner.
Jagr leaving games early is starting to get old. He's obviously not fully recovered and he's leaving his team short handed constantly. I believe this is the fourth game he has left in the first period so far this year.
I bet a Devils fan twice and won two beers. Easy bets ever. One was Poni scoring a goal, and the other was the Flyers allowing a goal within a minute after taking a 2 goal lead. Like taking candy from a baby.
And finally LOL @ Shelley. Clarkson pastes him to the boards with a big hit, and Mr. Tough Guy challenges fellow tomato can Eric Boulton to a fight, and Boulton proceeds to hand Shelley his ass. Total skull (frank)ing.
PS Lavy, stop putting the 4th line on the ice after taking a two goal lead. It doesn't work. |

What a game for him.
I hope he has some gas left for tomorrow.

It seems Meszy plays a little more of an aggressive play when paired with Gustafsson. Not necessarily a knock on Lilja, Meszy seems to jump into the play more. I think Meszy has more confidence he can cover for him with his speed. |
