Flyers # 7 in half a season with a concussion.
Hopefully the plan isn't to play Shelley and two Phantom call ups vs. the Bruins tomorrow. That poop ain't gonna work. |

Just back from the game. Ton of Flyers fans in the building.
Simmonds was a complete force out there. His best game as a Flyer imo. Hartnell and Giroux with strong games as well. And Bryzgalov played very well again. Perhaps he is turning a corner.
Jagr leaving games early is starting to get old. He's obviously not fully recovered and he's leaving his team short handed constantly. I believe this is the fourth game he has left in the first period so far this year.
I bet a Devils fan twice and won two beers. Easy bets ever. One was Poni scoring a goal, and the other was the Flyers allowing a goal within a minute after taking a 2 goal lead. Like taking candy from a baby.
And finally LOL @ Shelley. Clarkson pastes him to the boards with a big hit, and Mr. Tough Guy challenges fellow tomato can Eric Boulton to a fight, and Boulton proceeds to hand Shelley his ass. Total skull (frank)ing.
PS Lavy, stop putting the 4th line on the ice after taking a two goal lead. It doesn't work. - PLindbergh31
I'm absolutely shocked that out of all the good things that happened in the game, one of the main points here is a comment on Shelley. Who played a solid game. Shelley also challenged Clarkson after the hit. I would give Boulton the edge in the fight, but it wasn't a case of Shelley having his ass handed to him. Anyway, it really doesn't matter who won the fight.
Everyone in the game, including Shelley, played well. There is a lot more positive things that went on in that game.

when kovalchuk got that delay of game he went down like a sack of potatos next to the devils net from a pretty harmless looking bump, but that wasn't in the first P |

All part of the game. All 32 other teams have had 7 players suffer concussions this year. - PLindbergh31
Isn't that the truth. Change in equipment is a must this coming summer. |

Briere took a cheap shot from behind, I think in the 2nd period. He was standing to the side of the net and got clobbered.
Play was no where near him, a Devil nailed him and he went down and was on his hands a knees for a minute or so. I was surprised no penalty was called. |

What is the other choices that they have?

That was a dive I thought by Briere trying to draw a penalty. Just your basic shot to the ribs.

Holmgren will trade a fourth round pick and Phantom for a 4 time 20 goal scorer like Lamoriello just did. Book it.

I'd be very pleased if he continues to improve. I really don't want Lilja, Walker or Bartulis skating with this team if at all possible. |
