And another thing, there's been a lot of talk about the Flyers not having enough grit in the lineup. What did today show? Like I've always maintained, they have plenty of grit in the lineup. - MJL
so mjl, did you appreciate what sestito did today? had to ask |

In defense of cough those people, Sestito hasn't been in the lineup all year either But yea, I feel good about this game I really do despite the outcome. I feel even better about our chances in a series against Boston than I did 5 weeks ago that's for sure. - JoeRussomanno
Even without Tostito the Flyers have grit, Harts, Night train, Rinaldo and a couple of other guys who aren't afraid to get physical.
People are too intimidated by the big bad bruins...
It's really is just all about the mindset. |

I'll take it. I might watch the big bang theory around that time but watch for me. |

I thought he's played well. I'd still choose Briere over Sestito in the lineup in every game.

it is a flexibility thing. he certainly has it while moving laterally and can get his leg extended far and keep it flat...but he struggles on the butterfly. bob keeps his pads out when he goes down very well. - hammarby31
I love goalie talk haha. I know you play or used to, We played roller hockey growing up and I played goal. But as we got oler, less people played and I stopped hanging out with the neighborhood crumbs I grew up playing with. Plus being mostly blind in one eye didnt help much |

One thing the Flyers have going for them is depth. They played without alot of guys today and still did a great job considering Boston is pretty healthy. - stveshdy

Can you explain why you wouldn't have used Hartnell? I'm sorry but imo he had a mental edge on Thomas today.
I think Cooter lacks the burst to be effective on the SO, maybe Schen but I still wanna see Voracek out there. - JoeRussomanno
What kind of mental edge? You mean Thomas would've panicked if he saw Harts skating in on him during the SO? Don't think so even if he scored six against him.
My thought process is to send somebody in who had good hands. A skill player who could easily pick a corner as maneuver left or right. Hartnell is more of a north/south kinda guy, like Simmonds. |

I like Sestito, and he did what he was supposed to do. The entire game was entertaining. One of the most fun games of the Season. Must have been great to be at the game.

Yeah, he turned on the jets a couple of times today when I was worried about a break and broke it up. I am happy with them.
It was a very entertaining game. And I have to say losing in the shootout is a heck of a lot better than I expected when I left the house. They never gave up. They played physical. And Hartnell is a berserker with sudden depths unplumbed now. Five in two games? Sheesh. - bodiva88
Harts was always streaky. But he's been pretty consistent this year. |

No he wouldn't have panicked but you better believe it raises the pressure stakes. Hartnell maybe a more north south guy but he can pick a corner too. |
