I can understand why he was upset too, and I don't blame him for doing what he did. It's not what leaders do though.

I think Ebs would probably be ready for it start of next year, Hall in another year or two after that.

What would be the point of giving the "C" to Eberle and then taking it from him after two years unless he leaves town?

I'd be happy with either of them, they have both shown more for the Oilers in the two seasons they have partially played then Horcoff has.

Nothing, I'm not saying to do that. I'm just saying if you made the switch, I'd think those guys would be ready in that timeline.

ie you could probably give it to Ebs this summer, but if you wanted Hall to be the guy you'd probably be best waiting a couple more years.

hey hey,was your comment a Honest comment or were you trying to be a Nuck fun?

Remember 1996-2000? I do. Nucks sucked taint for years and eventually you have to let go and wait. We drafted Sedins and Kesler but it still took a couple years and we were horrible for 4 years in a row until we saw the light.

It's this year to be the most excited about for you. Get to rid yourself of veteran baggage , go after a couple good ufa's and draft another blue chip prospect. Maybe trade for a real goalie.

Then come October with some better luck on the health front you really will see the new era

Kind of miss huggy bear.... at least the way he played with Quinn. He always tried 100% hate to say it but they could use more of that work ethic too.

Micheal Therrian. I liked what he did with the Penguins up until his message was lost on the players.

He's the anti-Renney he is hard on the players and demands discipline.

Could you imagine Schneider in net for the Oil for the next ten years? Sweet. They have the young forwards to get the deal done too. Does anyone know what the Canucks would want for him if they were to trade him? Do the Canucks have any needs besides a little grit?

At least you guys were predicted to suck.

We Kings fans were filled with hopes and dreams and we got stuck with a team who can only score 1 goal a game

Nothing wrong with it, but a captain doesn't do something like that. Even Hrudy commented on it after the game.

It is a blatant show that Renny is losing the team. I hope Hall had an apology to the team after the game, especially for Renny. You (generic you, not directed to the quoted poster) may not agree, or like, Renny as a coach, but he is and that deserves respect.

What Hall did smacks of selfishness. Do that stuff in the dressing room.

Doing it in the Ice or Dressing room still the same......Respect is a funny thing but You get Respect if You tread others with Respect and what Renney did to the Players on the Ice by pulling the Goalie with less then 3mins was not respectful to the Players and the Oilers Fans.

did anyone watch the Flyers Bruins game? I suggest the oilers take a look at that game tape.... that was a great game wish the oil played with dat kind of intensity
- Killbot460

Did you see what Malkin did in OT? I'd take Malkin over Ovechkin any day of the week.

Forgot to mention the Score at that time was 5-2 Flames......and Renney I believe was Coaching for the Flames because he helped the Flame player get his Hat Trick and have Hats on Oilers Ice for a Flame Player....so where's the Respect???

Tough to say exactly since the Canucks will wait until the off-season to likely deal Schneider and at that time there are always more suitors (TB, CLS, NJ, etc) with more cap space to manoeuvre with. My guess is a top 6 or top 4 dman + a 1st rd pick will the starting asking price. A lot will of course depend on how this season pans out.

I've seen Crosby throw tantrums on the ice before though. Not that it's a big deal or anything... I prefer that to guys who show absolutely no emotion.
