Doing it in the Ice or Dressing room still the same......Respect is a funny thing but You get Respect if You tread others with Respect and what Renney did to the Players on the Ice by pulling the Goalie with less then 3mins was not respectful to the Players and the Oilers Fans.

- AlEx_OiL

You trying to say that you get respect if you give it?

Renny, by pulling the goalie, is saying to the team.

"We have the firepower to make a game of this. Go get it."

Sounds like he respects his team.

Acting like a little b!tch is not respectful. Wanna make a statement to your coach? Don't do it on the ice, in front of the crowds. Do it in the room, that is the right way to do it, that is how a mature team player does it.

I've seen Crosby throw tantrums on the ice before though. Not that it's a big deal or anything... I prefer that to guys who show absolutely no emotion.

Sure Hall flipped on his coach... He was right to do it. The whole organization needs a kick to the balls. Like most people are saying... It's nice to have a guy on the team who actually gives a sh1t.

lest see you just said "Do it in the room, that is the right way to do it, that is how a mature team player does it." so for you is not about respect because when you respect someone you just don't do it regardless where at.....

Sorry it is tough for you. He show confidence in the team to pull the goalie and let them try and get some goals. You asked for respect, that is his respect.

Could you imagine Schneider in net for the Oil for the next ten years? Sweet. They have the young forwards to get the deal done too. Does anyone know what the Canucks would want for him if they were to trade him? Do the Canucks have any needs besides a little grit?
- rynoisgod

If they wait until draft day Canucks would do it for their first round pick.

this is hard for you...I will guess you are young...

It is about respect. You may not agree with your boss, but to call him out in front of everyone is disrespectful. You wanna let him know you talk to him in closed quarters. In a regular work environment it would be his office. inthis case, the dressing room. Hall call let his displeasure out in the dressing room and Renny can then rebut him, or do however he wishes. But it is about closed doors. The rest of society should not have seen it happen.

I am interested in seeing what Oil Change would do about this incident.

well if that's the way he is going to show his respect every time the Oilers are down by 3 Goals with less then 3mins and pull the Goalie then I hope Hall next time says a little more extra....and I would not be the only one asking for that.

Not the way he did it. That is the problem area.

If I was a coach and saw this I would be wary about how Hall will react in other situations when he doesn't like what is happening.

And i will not be the only one saying Hall is acting like a b!tch...putting the game in the hands of his players to run-n-gun themselves into the game again...horrible of that coach.

I'm young and a Boss,so if I was a Player that got embarrass and disrespected by my Coach in front of 18,000 fans and teammates I would not wait to get in to any room I would speak my mind at that moment, something Hall did and I agree....

I think you've hit the nail on the head here. Think about it Oil Country, this team and it's owner are about to burden the city and taxpayers with a multi million dollar arena. If Oiler's fans get pissed off and stop going to games, then management, ownership and the city of Edmonton are going to start to get nervous, really nervous. Money talks, bullpoop walks. It's the way of the world.

Seriously, you're going to compare an office scenario to an high intensity (or well for 90% of the Oilers it's supposed to be an high intensity) sport... It's not the same scenario. Not even close. I wish Hall would have went the extra mile, and gave Renney the Stone Cold Stunner.

Thing is the player never got disrespected.

So if you are a boss and you called your workers in to tell them about a new policy you are enacting, while you have clients in the room also, and an employee calls you out as an idiot and that your new policy is stupid. You think he is right to do that? You know, he is only speaking his mind and should be thanked for his passion right. Right?
