So if you are a boss and you called your workers in to tell them about a new policy you are enacting, while you have clients in the room also, and an employee calls you out as an idiot and that your new policy is stupid. You think he is right to do that? You know, he is only speaking his mind and should be thanked for his passion right. Right? - OilHorse

Seriously, you're going to compare an office scenario to an high intensity (or well for 90% of the Oilers it's supposed to be an high intensity) sport... It's not the same scenario. Not even close. I wish Hall would have went the extra mile, and gave Renney the Stone Cold Stunner. - laughs2907
There comes a time when you switch it off. Maturity is knowing when. Otherwise it will be ok to spear and headshot everyone, cause ya know...adreniline.
Stone Cold Stunner? Ninja please. Renny and Steve Smith woulda British BullDogged him...Or maybe they woulda Hart Attacked him, since the Harts are from Calgary.
What was the reason that Taylor Hall stood out in the draft as opposed to Seguin? He is a leader and doesn't like to lose. What has changed since the draft? So can we really condemn him for getting frustrated with the situation? With age and experience I suppose that the ability to mask his frustration will come. But to be honest I like his passion!

Naw... The effects of adrenaline only goes so far (unless you're crazy). Verbalizing is one of the results. I did a psychology course is this sh1t... Fascinating stuff, really.
Speaking of the Harts, Brett once said that the worst thing a person could do was keep their feelings inside. And then he snotted on Vince McMahon.
Renney won't show that to the Oilers players....because maybe next time it won't be just Hall speaking out...........but what Renney will show is the Next Barney Show and sing "I love you,You love me" we are one Happy Family

I like his passion too... And lets be honest here, with him being an Oiler, I'm sure he's been masking his frustration for the past 20ish games. It's either he blows up on ice, or he becomes a serial killer.

You don't lose your mind while on an adrenaline rush and so while in the middle of the action you are expected to avoid certain physical actions, and so you are able to curb your reactions...same with the mental ability in vocalizing.
Brett and Vince actually HATED each other for a long time. It was the reason why Brett left the WWF. Brett also blames Vince for the death of Owen.

I don't condemn him. I say he needs to be mature and express himself better.
A scream, slap the stick. Whatever. Show your emotion. S'all coo'. But to say anything against someone on his own team. No. That stays in until you are in your dressing room.

Physical actions and verbal responses aren't the same. Not at all. Face it, Hall is the excellence in execution. He's the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.
I don't think Bret blames Vince for Owens death... They worked together a little while ago.

will only show respect if respect is giving, not because He's a Coach he deserve automatic respect... - AlEx_OiL
you don't get it do you. teh idea that they are coming back is almost a zero % chance. anyone and everyone can agree on that.
Renny put his guys out there (Hall being one of them) with the express idea of just going for it. It is all up to them. If this is gonna turn out to be a close game his best players are gonna make it happen. Renny said with his actions, Fuk the defence, just go balls out guys. It is all you.
Renny has been coaching in the NHL since 96-97, he he coached CHL and WHL champions. He won a silver in the Oly in 94 as the coach. Yeah I think his resume is a little more substantial than Hall's in regards to garnering respect.
