That's why I don't follow him on twitter, don't read his columns and don't watch him on TV. - Jsaquella
Amen. For a while, I was still following the Three Stooges (Tim, Sam, and Frank obviously) under "train wreck" logic . Eventually I couldn't deal with validating their poop by adding to their follower count. |

What astonishes me of late is Boston's track record since 2000. What 3 Super bowls from the Pats and another trip to the SB as well as this year. 2 WS wins from the Sox, Celtics win and go back to the finals and the Bruins win the cup last year. Amazing run for that city.
Boston fans must be broke from buying all the championship t shirts and hats.
note: a problem I'd like to have! - Hextall271
Boston is Titletown USA, don't worry though, it won't be on February 5. |

I only saw it because BILL MELTZER let me down by retweeting it. I forgive him, but I'm bruised. - bodiva88
I couldn't imagine a group of more unlikable guys covering any team in any sport. |

I only followed Tim for a while. Then realized he's high all the time.
I follow some national and Canadian people. It is funny how they all retweet each other. If we want to read someone, we'll follow them. Stop with the circle jerk, men! |

Scott Hartnell has exactly 35 Games to score 15 goals to become a 40 goal scorer thanks to yesterday's game. I'd say that's pretty doable. |

Sam wants to cover teenagers, Panotch lives for drama and Frank doesn't want to sit alone at the bar before and after games. Toxic mix. |

I'd rather have Satan win they any NE team. - hockeylover
I'm the same way. Every mouth breathing hick in my neck of the woods is a Pats fan.. I hate Brady and cannot believe that Baltimore choked like that. |

I was saying that I don't care how much "energy" they generate if they are going to give up goals. Harry Z plays with a lot of energy, but he's a -12. Sestito seems to skate OK, but I'm not going to put him out there on the PK. I know the Flyers roster is what it is and they have to make do with what they have. I'm just saying I don't care for players who don't contribute to either scoring or stopping the other team from scoring. I miss Lappy and Betts...love Talbot. - Dkos
So then we are agreeing. Create an energy line focused on delivering hits, and shutting down the opposition. At this point, the only guy I would trust to do that is Talbot. They are going to have to teach Rinaldo, Zulnerczyk, and Sestito how to do that. But I think thats what we really need here. |

Yeah and the Giants are slated to possibly win their 3rd Superbowl since I was in High School (Eagles have never won one). Rangers have also won a Stanley Cup in 1994, I won't even get in to all of the Yankee WS wins. Penguins have won 3 Stanley cups along with a pair of Steelers Superbowl wins.
Contrast with Philly's appearance and loss in the Superbowl, numerous defeats in the Stanley Cup finals and going 1-2 in the WS.
One championship win going back to the Sixers 1983 win. - Pixote Andolini
i'm aware of the numbers. ny is a bit of a strange bird in that they have 2 baseball teams, 2 football, and 2 hockey teams. increases their chances as a region just a bit. and when you lump that in as a group with boston and pburgh- philly pales in comparison in terms of sheer numbers of trips to the final.

not great - especially since they only have ONE title out of those 7 appearances. but when you compare it to the futility of other cities it's not so bad. it's all relative.

It's pathetic. I have boycotted everything to do with all 3 of them. It's sad that the fan base get saddled with such utter dogpoop. |

I don't know which Center Ice you're getting but just about EVERY game I get on Directv Center Ice is in HD except for non-Toronto Canadian feeds. - bgratch
i get it through fios, and it was no different with comcast. if games are on NHL Network, those are all in HD, so that's a plus.[/img] |

I see Sestito and Rinaldo in that kind of role. But scrabble isn't really suited to it. I think he's a third-liner in waiting. |

Yea, but when it becomes time to talk about a new contact, I would leave out any NTC or NMC's and make is a short 1-2 year deal, just to make sure this isnt a one time deal.... |

He's a bit of a streaky player during the course of the season, but when the smoke clears he's always been a 20+ goal scorer. My only issue with Hartnell as a Flyer is the mindless penalties he tends to take. He has even cut down on those this year. |

i haven't looked at the numbers, but i'd guess his pm's are way down - at least of the "mindless" category. after a slow start, the dude is kind of putting the team on his back. |

Brady said he will play the best game of his career in this super bowl. Hes pissed he lost the last time in the super bowl. NYG did beat NE this year and held the Pats to a season low 20 points. |

Try being Buffalo or Toronto even. 0 Championships since 93 for TO. I'd go bonkers if my Bears made it to the SB fours straight years and lost. |

I think Sestito-Talbot-Rinaldo would be a great energy line. I'm not sure how good Sestito and Rinaldo are Defensively. And Zulnerczky will be a good 3rd liner, but will all the forwards guys are going to get sent down.
Does anyone have the Flyers Record with Rinaldo and Without Rinaldo in the line-up? |

Last 2 years Hartnell had 155, and 142 PIMS, on pace for about 130 this year. |

40 would be amazing for Harts. He does run hot and cold so he may come up short. He has no time to get stupid penalties he's too busy scoring like mad. 5 goals in two games?? Great work.. too bad we couldn't shut the door yesterday in the third. It jsut felt like every time Boston was in our zone they were going to score if they hit the net. I wish I didn't feel that way.. |
