And he's on today saying he doesn't care if Bryz talks to the press but blah blah blah about Saturday's scrum and I'm thinking, at what point do you pay attention to the question and its tone when you consider how a guy reacts? Buffoons all of them. I don't want the media to be all sweetness and light, but I'd like them to cover the damned sport, not try to stir up reality tv style idiocy. - bodiva88

Try being Buffalo or Toronto even. 0 Championships since 93 for TO. I'd go bonkers if my Bears made it to the SB fours straight years and lost. - Hextall271
Buffalo only has two teams though. And in Toronto no one cares about Basketball, Blue Jays won back to back World Series in the early 90's. The Leafs are what hurts the folks in Toronto the most. No Cups since 67' and on the verge now of missing the playoffs 8 straight years which is just criminal. |

they haven't even been the finals since '67. not once. that's just insane. |

i hate both teams, but i'm leaning giants simply because it's another FU to the birds and that clown show front office/coaching staff. - hammarby31
IM on the same page as you are....i dont know if im in the minority, but i always root against the birds...i hate their front office and their demeanor towards the fans more than anything on this earth...GO GIANTS |

I see Sestito and Rinaldo in that kind of role. But scrabble isn't really suited to it. I think he's a third-liner in waiting. - bodiva88
I don't see that from Sestito or Rinaldo. I think they want to be instigators, but don't have the ability/brains/attitude of someone like Lappy or Talbot. Rinaldo is fun to watch. He hits hard and he skates around pretty fast, but I'm not counting on him to shut anyone down. They are more interested in making hi-lite hits than being sound defensively. Harry Z looks like he has some skill, but his stats tell a different story. Too much go not enough think. |

40 would be amazing for Harts. He does run hot and cold so he may come up short. He has no time to get stupid penalties he's too busy scoring like mad. 5 goals in two games?? Great work.. too bad we couldn't shut the door yesterday in the third. It jsut felt like every time Boston was in our zone they were going to score if they hit the net. I wish I didn't feel that way.. - Hextall271
He's got a legit shot at 40. That would be a hell of a season. |

Not going anywhere, NMC. - stveshdy
With that save percentage, his contract and his shoot-out record even if he didn't have a NMC there would not be any takers.
He has been a Humongous disappointment.

It's going to be a fantastic game. A toss up imo. - PLindbergh31
It will be a competitive game...football fans can be happy about that. I was rooting for the Giants the last time these two met in the SB, but only because I didn't want the Pats to have a perfect season. I (frank)ing hate both these teams so for me watching this superbowl would be like watching the Pens play the Bruins with the Pitt-Errey-Steigerwald feed in one ear and the Boston - Jack(ass) Edwards feed in the other. I'll probably find something else, far more exciting to do...like write my dissertation whist sipping some of this tasty stuff that you can only get here in Kentucky:

It really is. I was surprised they got beat by the Kings in 93'. A Toronto/Montreal SCF would have been insane. I really wanted to see it. |

It bodes well for the Flyers if he can get 40. Hopefully he then follows it up with a Conn Smythe worthy postseason!

I work with a few die hard Jets fans, and they are miserable. This game is worse for a Jets fan, then an Eagles fan. |

doesn't bode well for a carle return. gogo was set to become an RFA and he's on pace for 28 points and gets 4.6. carle obviously will be ufa and on pace for second-straight 40-point season. |

I think this season which, as many point out, could have been derailed by so many factors (offseason moves, injuries, shaky Bryz, Shelley on the roster [ ]) still has the potential to turn out special. Cup special? Who knows? But the all star break couln't be coming at a better time. If they can get Briere and Jagr back 100% after the break they have the potential to have a strong stretch drive and postseason, particularly if they can get a solid physical d-man in trade without giving up much from the roster.
I hope JVR can come back strong too, but I have my doubts. The abdominal things can be tough to recoup from, his hip issues are noticeable in his skating, and now the conky. Hell he ought to get the hip fixed while he is out with the conky. Maybe come back strong in time for the playoffs. I wonder how much say Holmer has in suggesting such a move to the kid?
I like what I've seen from Cooter, Schenn, Read, Rinaldo, Gus, MAB, and Sestito. I hope they can all keep building on this.

No room for Carle anyhow, once they sign Suter. |

Well said! Still on pace for a 105 point season, which considering the roster turnover, injuries, youth, and sub par play from Bryzgalov is pretty damn good. |

Fantastic year so far after a slow start. His performance in the 2010 playoffs and finals means I won't throw him under the bus even when he's not hot. |

He's a bit of a streaky player during the course of the season, but when the smoke clears he's always been a 20+ goal scorer. My only issue with Hartnell as a Flyer is the mindless penalties he tends to take. He has even cut down on those this year. - PLindbergh31
He seems much more focused. Even in interviews he makes more sense. And he seemed a natural for the A yesterday. In past years I would not have said that. |

I dont want Suter in a bidding war. If we can get his rights and sign him to a cap hit of like 5.5 mill, then yes, but if we are talking a 6 plus anual cap hit, no thank you... |
