I really thought the Bruins game was their last before the break for some reason. A pleasant surprise this morning to see a game day blog. |

Let's hope that if Bryzgalov is in net, that he continues to show signs of improvement, and getting to where he needs to be. |

We should hear Scott Hartnell named to the All Star team sometime today and he can celebrate with a win in Florida. - Jsaquella
didnt they name replacements last night? I went on a tirade (to the point where my Fiance told me to shut it because there was no point at continuing to argue my case because she couldnt do anything about it) last night. If he doesnt make the team that would be a travesty, a sham, and a mockery... a traveshamockery! |

Hear hear! (with a weeee little fixin)
He played very well against them last go around, and over the course of January really shows signs of improvement... hopefully he can continue to work on his consistency.. would be a great way for him to go into the break! |

Last night, Toews dropped out and Bob McKenzie speculated that Alexander Ovechkin might as well. He mentioned Hartnell on TV as a probable replacement, and also there was a deleted Bob Mc tweet that said he was in. Think the NHL didn't want it's thunder stolen. |

This is a must win before the break. Bryz needs to play a strong game and feel good about his game.
Hoping Giroux can score a goal or two.
On a side note.
Tim Thomas skipped the visit to the white house on Monday. I want to not like the guy because he plays for Boston but in this case good for him. |

well if there is any single player in the NHL who deserves to be there and currently isnt.. its Hartnell. |

Bill, if youre around and have the time could u provide your insight on the Goligoski signing? Since you're the Stars blogger and see many, if not all their games, id love to hear your opinion on his game compared to Carle's and how it may affect the Flyers re-signing him. Thx |

I'm happy for him, if it is true, because he really wants to be there and is excited about possibly going. |

I cant help but think that the fact they gave up sooo much for him has to play into it a bit.. gives him a little extra bargaining juice on his side. |

I'd like to see Schenn pick up where he left off last game and also chip in a few points. |

Just looking at his stats. He is #6 in goals, #19 in points, #16 in +-, #1 in PPG, #28 in PIM, and #1 in shooting% for everyone over 100 shots (19.8%).
He is having a hell of an all around season! |

I think Schenn is settling in now. He was stellar sunday. I was surprised to see he only has 4 points in 18 games because he feels like he is every where when he is on the ice.. he was a huge reason for a few goals Sunday but didnt end up with any points.. |

He is and the honor is deserved. I'm not a fan of the ASG, but he seems pumped to be involved, so good for him. |

he looks more comfy at wing for now and the D responsibility is something he'll improve upon. would still move him for the right young dman, but I felt that way in Sept so it's nothing against him as a plyr. |

It was difficult being forced to include Eminger in that trade |

If Hartnell is finally chosen, considering how the last couple of years have gone, it's a great comeback redemption story.
I do hope Bryz is in net tonight...you can see him finally coming into his own. Pluck the shootout crap.
Schenn is playing well and i hope he keeps it up. I'm liking the trades more and more as the year goes on.
