Rhea Hughes was ripping him for not stopping any of the 5 shots he faced this year. It's understandable to be frustrated that he hasn't stopped one, but they made it sound like he is 0-20, not to mention the Flyers have probably had more shootouts than Flyers games watched by Rhea. - funmaster18
Rhea Hughes has about as much credibility as Angelo or Cuz. That WIP morning show is about as insightful as a monkey (frank)ing a football. They should stick to Wing Bowl commentary.
You'd think he might mix in a save every once in a while.
In the shoot out the Flyers need to go 3 for 3 and hope an opponent hits a post
The damn shoot out is a real bastard for the Flyers - Buts16
Well, we can look at the bright side that the Flyers have a league leading (tied) 28 ROW, so the shootout hasn't been all that important to them in their success so far this year.
It isn't like Giroux can't buy a goal. He prefers to pass the puck. He should be shooting more, but he isn't and he hasn't. It's bad decision making on his part not to shoot, so maybe we're talking about a shooting slump because there is no doubt he'd score if he took those shots. - Schenn2shine
Last game... vs Boston - Giroux had 7 sog (2nd to Hartnell).
I look back over the past month... The Flyers do a good job of getting a lot of sog from different shooters. Giroux is generally higher then average sog.

Who wants a good discussion of Jody Shelley's merits today, huh?
<>now ducking<> - Lexington Flyer
<>throws brick towards Kentucky<>
He is playing. And hasn't hurt the team. He will be back in the Cote suite once someone returns. And hopefully if it comes down to it, Sestito is the one wh stays permanently.

i read the comments on philly.com about bryz yesterday, and it's just brutal. embarrassing fans actually saying the most short-sighted, uninformed, stupid poop ever. - hammarby31

Maybe Bryz will be like Briere in the playoffs, saving his best for when it means the most.
Actually my impression of him is that inthe last few games he seems to be stopping more of the deflections. I know one got by him in the third period against the Bs, but overall I think he is settling in.
On another topic, it sounds like there is going to be a bidding war for Gleason.
I like him, but as an UFA I don't think they should consider trading a current top 9 forward or a 1st round pick for a rental.
Maybe they could get someone like Oduya if the Jets continue to slide for a better deal.

i may hate her more than angelo. at least with angelo, you know it's shtick. pretty sure rhea is actually that stupid. - OrangeBlack27
her voice/laugh just goes right through me - her whole smug, sarcastic routine does her a disservice - because she doesn't come off as funny or sharp, but rather as an annoying hag.
I don't look at lines, I look at roles. Between PP and PK time, your top 3 centers are going to get their minutes. I want Couturier to be the primary shutdown guy for this team until he retires. Call it the "3rd" line if you wish, but to me those designations have and always will be just names. - MBFlyerfan
If your expecting Couturier to be like a Brindy or a Handzus I think your really under estimating him. I see him more like a Brad Richards type of player.

i saw Anderson stop a triple deflected puck yesterday. Bryzgalov should be more than capable

I think Hall Gill makes a lot of sense - jak521
He'd be ok if the price is fair.
Takes his fair share of penalties though.
If they are trading one of the young forwards like Jake V or Read for D,
It has to be for a young D on entry level that has big potential.
I would hate to see them traded for an older UFa to be Defensman.

she comes off as the type that just repeats whatever her disillusioned husband mutters at the tv. that probably sounded less sexist in my head. whatever.

You should call her up on WIP and ask her what she cooked for dinner and if all the laundry is done.

only way one of the young forwards is dealt is if a young monster on the blueline comes back.
