Just the Canadian hockey media putting under a microscope something that Tavares, when asked, said was part of his usual post-game routine.

If the isles win tonight it will most likely be because of two guys: Moulson and Tavares.

I'm continuously astounded at how little attention Moulson gets. He does so many big and little things right he's a player I WISH the leafs had.

Tavares just looks so improved to me since the last couple of season for one big reason; his skating. His speed seems better, and his stride is leaps and bounds ahead of where it was in seasons previous.

I have to admit I NEVER thought he'd be able to get the step on a defenseman. He has gotten soooo much stronger on the puck. Whoever he worked with this offseason, the isles should hire to work with all their players. The bottom line though, is Tavares was such a special kid........more so than his talent with the puck. He wants to win.........you can see it. He willed that puck in OT the other night over the line. I wish some of the other guys (the passengers) would see his battle level. You dont have to crush someone into the boards like Martin, but EVERYONE should be skating with his desperation. He's just a winner.......which the isles havent had in a VERYYYY LONG TIME.

Having an Ice Cold goalie starting for us tonite isnt exactly a formula for success. With the All Star break here, why not wait till next week to get Montoya back in net???
