true enough....but I call your bluff
No true Habs fan can admit to the Leafs being their 2nd favorite team...thats blasphemy!!!! - noename09
I was born in MTL - its in our blood to be Habs fans!
Nothing wrong with cheering for the Leafs - would be nice one day where both teams are powerhouses in the East and contending for the cup on a yearly basis |

For the price he signed for, I'd be surprised if we were in any way in the race to get him. |

And sometimes you need to get the kids experience, and sometimes you need some vets on the team to help teach.
Lombardi got you future in Franson. The least Burke can do is turn him into an asset rather than burying him and making a mockery. - Brian Huddle
You keep thinking I've said bury him or make a mockery. What I really said was he should have been moved long ago so future pieces could be playing here. Imagine Kadri has been playing in minors because guys like this were in the lineup. Jesus. |

I know. Just thought maybe, seeing as they literally have the richest owners, that they'd be interested in putting a team together to put fans in the seats. Sucks that they aren't the Leafs and fans will go no matter what, you'd think they'd know this. Look at 92 and 93, highest payroll in baseball at the time. |

Has 10 goals and 20 points in 50 games. He's not becoming what he was supposed to. - Brian Huddle
True, and he won't return any thing good at all right now too.
But it was tlusty, Stalberg and Dido for Biggs? (I'm not so sure about that one) |

Oh I know you're Switzerland. We should be burning poop in the streets with this team missing the playoffs again. But instead we have Lombardi. - honesthockey
So Dupuis is a better player than Lombardi? Must be what you think considering you always criticize Lombardi and call him an AHLer yet always compliment Dupuis and start arguments with anyone who says he shouldn't be in the lineup. |

Jays did apparently sign Francisco Cordero. He's been a saves machine of the past few years. Maybe they'll have an actual closer this year? |

Move him for what? Nobody would have wanted him until they saw him play a bit-- hence why he's been playing. So he could become a moveable asset.

Does anyone else think Gus is starting to look like a #1 goalie?? What else does he need to prove? Why isn't he getting the respect he deserves? - Arctic_AARDVARK
He has all the tools to be a good #1 but until anyone calls him that, he needs to take some Beano to prevent those massive brain-farts he has which result in the occasional, ill-timed softy. |

Lombardi wasn't going anywhere, unless you were willing to send along an asset to make him go away, which would pretty much make the original deal a waste of time. |

Have to agree. Move out some key players that can get us returns for the future and let our kids play regular roles for the rest of the year. If we make the playoffs still, the kids get useful playoff experience, if not they get to play half a season to mature for next year. We can then use the prospects and draft picks we aquire to restock the Marlies. |

Nope I said Dupuis didn't matter. He was a 4th liner. Could put anyone there with little affect on the game. Yet came on here with everyone going on about Dupuis missing the real problems. |

Versteeg got a 1st and 3rd.
The 1st got Percy and the Leivo with those picks.
The Biggs pick was the Leafs 2nd and the 1st from Boston. |
