What a dirty, ugly, cheap way to win it tonight. Tons of garbage goals, flukey shots, and we get bailed out by dumb luck.
I love it. That's the way we need to win. We need to find these cheap and dirty ways to win, even when it's not our night. - Leeman4Gilmour
yup... found a way to get the two points through it all
in the end, thats all anyone remembers... 3-2 in the last five heading into the break.. these last two games were important to win |

Well to be fair they got bailed out by dumb luck as well - Leafzrulez123
I thought that all-in-all the Isles played a better game and scored some "cleaner" earned goals.
No knock on the Leafs... that's how you have to grind it out to make the playoffs down the stretch. Good on them for not packing it in. |

For those talking about the NSH-TOR trade for Lombardi/Franson, Lebda scored a goal for the Blue Jackets tonight.
... Remember when the Preds played at "Gaylord Ent. Centre"?
Always made me chuckle when I was an immature pre-teen. |

Ovechkin is so full of poop.
May as well just say he's going to south beach for prozzies and blow all weekend long. - Domidives
That was a good hit the defender was going down and he was going up.. the head was on the way up after first contact..
OV has it right.. why should he promote a Messed up league.. |

How can you call them a line? When they've played apart for most of the season. Yeah they've been put together here and there, But for 3 or 4 games and then boom back apart.
MacArthur started on the 4th line tonight. - Leafsfan9329
They started as a line and played a significant amount of time together through the first couple dozen games, even when it wasn't working.
Kulemin really needs to find his game fast. It was a great night for his line, but he didn't have the impact that he should have on a night like this. |

Hopefully Gus can hold up. I think RW has given up on Reimer. |

Maybe this will give him a bit of a boost. He clearly needs some confidence.
Never drives the net anymore... passes up shots that he should be taking... so unlike last year's monster performance. |

fighting at the edge of the playoffs... cant really afford to roll the dice on a guy trying to find his game after an injury
they fall off the edge or get in a develop a bit of a cushion, you will see more of reimer i bet |

Funny how reactionary Leafs Nation and some of the writers are...after the Habs game Damien Cox's article was headlined 'Another Lost Season Looming for The Leafs'...lol they were a few points out with half a season to play...a couple of games later they are in a playoff spot (if Florida loses) and on a 7-4 run...I guess it's understandable with what a tortured fanbase we are but it's funny
Now I'm cheering for Philly to beat Florida and that makes me feel dirty inside

That's the way RW coaches , we've gotten used to that....ride one goalie until he's squeezed every last drop out of them....then finally switch them up. Gustavsson was that goalie that RW gave up on not so long ago. |

I'm wondering. If Gus shows he's legit and since there's not much for goalies this summer, does he resign him? |

and Tavares didn't really cross check Komisarek in the first, well after the play. - GoneFullRetard
Agreed, he should have been called to be honest. But come on every team has games that they get away with stuff but the crap that went ignored or ''unnoticed'' in this game agianst the Leafs was pathetic. A game where the leafs should have had at least 5 legit calls and nothing is called!! Thats what is hard to take. So we get away with one or two and the Leafs go free the entire game, any average hockey fan would know that is not right...the last play of the game Moulson was hauled down and on that turn over the Leafs scored...REALLY!!!! come on man this happens to your team you feel the same way. Let the players decide the game not the refs.... Leafs win then I say good game to them....this is not how hockey should be officiated |

i really have no idea what burke is gonna do there
i dont even want to hazard a guess.. all i know is if gus heats up and plays stable til the end of the year i dont want to lose him as a free agent, but then we head back into next season with gus and reimer.. which in reality, are both young goalies with little experience by nhl standards |

The game is for pansies now.. that is why Kessel and others can be molested all night.. and not one person stands up for him.. sad sad.. game..
That would've been a good hit not that long ago.. whereas Scott Stevens lived off of elbows to the head which were illegal even back in the day.
This new NHL is made for the fancied NHL teams that are USA based..

They've invested what 3+ years in him? They should re-sign him. He's playing well now and is an above average back up IMO.
I would hope they're not thinking he's a long term #1.
