I have no issues with any of the listed players.

I think JVR is still growing into his potential and will only get better.

Jagr is a horse.

Briere is as clutch as they come in the playoffs.

Absolutely. I will go further by saying that Briere is in no way the "soft" player that many who are clueless portray him to be. The majority of his goals are of the ugly, crash the net variety. He goes to the hard places and gets rewarded in the playoffs because of it.

based on numbers, he might help the second pp unit a bit, but would in no way help our defensive game. he doesn't play against good competition at all and is on the ice for way more shots against than for this year.

if we needed help on the PP I would much rather Kubina

Agreed. He's not soft, he's just small. It begets a different type of physicality, not a lack of it.

I count our lucky stars that we got him and not Drury or Gomez.

You're correct. Briere does get to the dirty areas and does mix it up in front of the net for some dirty goals. He'll do what it takes to draw a penalty and rub it in a goalie's face when he's been beaten. He's a battler and I love having him on this team.

As for JvR, he's very much still growing into his own. I think he'll gain more muscle mass and only continue to get stronger. He's a Power Forward, it takes time for them to develop. We all know it takes longer for them to put their games together. I wouldn't trade JvR.

No doubt!

Soft players don't score many goals in the playoffs.

Drury is out of the league and Gomez decided not to play anymore after he got his big deal.

I have, without basis, decided that I want the Flyers to make a move for Anton Babchuk. Anyone with more knowledge than me agree or disagree?

Gomez and Drury were holding down the Rangers. Now that those two are gone their a much better hockey team.

I think Schenn is going to turn into a more talented Ryan Callahan.

I think Schenn has looked more and more like Mike Richards by the game. It's a shame Schenn has sustained a broken foot and a concussion early in the season because I feel he could be very useful to the PK. Winning faceoffs and becoming more confident in his own zone, especially within his own abilities. I think right now the Flyers are avoiding another injury and they should be with the situation we're in now. In the first half we were fairly healthy but now everyone is going down like flies, except Schenn. Moving forward, I've seen Schenn fight and receive hits that I thought would surely take him out again.

I was just looking at his stats, it is absolutely remarkable the Rangers signed him to that deal and that cap hit.
