I'll start, I am wanting the flyers to go with Bryz after the break and if he is average I go with Bob and if he plays like he has been the last couple of weeks then I run with him.
I would love to see Bryz with the cocky body language after wins and start dominating.
He who plays better plays more.

- bird_dog

If the situation is the same as it is now with Bob playing great and Bryz not so much going into April.. it's a no brainer. We ride Bob. Best case scenario, both guys go in hot. If Bryz gets it together for the playoffs no one will give a poop how he struggled most of the year or what his reg season SP was.

Gustafsson has been pretty good for them. He's made some rookie mistakes, but he doesn't let them get him off his game. He's good with the puck and not bad in his own end.

Sestito, I agree with your assessment. He keeps his game under control and he can be a real effective 4th liner, who could step up to the 3rd line for stretches. Love the physical side, just got to rein it in a bit.

gusty was on the ice with 1:35 left to go in a 2-2 game - their last game before a break - that says a lot to me about what the coaches think of him.

Teams like Boston and the Rangers haven't had the injury issues that we have, so it's a really good sign that our young team has navigated it's way this far this well.

Let's hope the Flyers get some players back after the break.

it happens every once in a while but i don't like when he slides too far out of the crease. he basically takes himself out of the play 100%
- phi1671

it happened on the 2nd goal - but it's not a common thing for him now. last year it was more of an issue.

like them both a lot, and they've done more good than bad. young rooks - and they've contributed nicely.
- hammarby31

Can't believe how well our rooks have carried the mail this year. Cooter, Read, Rinaldo , Z, MAB, Gus now, Schenn getting it together.. They've really supported those grey beards Roo, Simmonds, JVR, Voracek..etc..

The furture looks bright.

Bob did a great job, both in the game and in the shootout. It's mirrored his performance for most of the year. While it's encouraging, I wouldn't say that Bob is a shootout machine. Florida has been almost as bad at the gimmick as the Flyers.

The Flyers never should have let it get to a gimmick, but obviously happy they won and happy that Bob got it done. I believe that is his first win in the gimmick in his career.

- Jsaquella

it was his second. 1-4 last year, 2-5 now for his career. Last year during the gimmick he seemed to stay way back in his crease. This year, especially on breakaways he's been much more aggressive and is forcing the shooter to go first.

By know means a shootout machine, but his improvement in the breakaway area bodes well in the future. At least that's ones hope.

If we do, and Homer decides to grab a rental Dman for a reasonable price, then this team is going to be a real tough out.

THe Panthers announcers were talking last night about teams to make the playoffs etc.. they said, you've got to think that the Flyers will make the playoffs.. the other announcer said almost definitely..yes. To me it showed that the team is well respected in the league.

His lateral movement means he can come out and challenge then get back and make a side to side save if need be.

He's lightning quick. His athleticism is off the charts. I just really like the guy. He comes in, goes about his business and works his tail off. He's friggin Rudy on skates.

I think they could also use a vet def forward/ face off guy. they are loose in their own zone too often. a guy like Dominic Moore could be available if TB can't stay in the chase. I'd still be willing to trade one of our young forwards for a comparable dman.

New York has had serious injury issues. Remember they were missing Staal from the beginning of the season to the WC. Anisimov missed some time early. Sauer has been out since 12/6 and still shows no signs of recovery. Eminger may have been a bust here, but was a contributor there and has been out since Dec 18. And there have been others through the year. Boyle is playing on two bad ankles (and rolled his ankle early yesterday but came back later). There were points where they were very thin and very young on D.

Boston appears to be charmed. I can't remember any serious injuries this year. It's not like they didn't suspect they'd be without Savard.

You know, I read that Savard would be glad to learn he'd never play again and wondered why he wouldn't just choose not to if that's the way he feels?

look at the standings and the pathetic teams in the bottom of the conference. it would be a catastrophe of epic proportions for them to miss the playoffs.

I think Savard wants certainty for his healthy, and wants a doctor to make the decision for him.

The Bruins have an injury now, I believe I heard Horton has a conky from the Sestito hit. I really hate all the head injuries.

The NHL can spin it anyway they want it's gotta be looked at.

With his quickness, I think he'd be better. It's a work in progress, but looking at how much he's improved his stickhandling and other areas, we all know he'll put in the needed time to get better at it.
