I like Gus it's just a learning curve right now. I'm liking how the team is playing the rookies on D-man. I don't know what will happen during the playoffs but right now they are holding their own.
Sestito...yeah he left his feet near the very end but i still don't think it was a penalty. I like his size and he can skate.
the competition to stay in the lineup will be fun to watch.

- phi1671

Charging has more to do with, then just leaving your feet. It's a difficult penalty to understand. But you can't skate half way across the ice in full stride to throw a hit. That's charging. All Sestito needs to do is just stay a hair more under control.

Bourdon (20:13) played more than Timonen (18:53) and Gus (17:44) played a shade under what Timonen played. Hopefully Timonen is fine

Maybe just trying to limit his minutes before the brutal stretch run kicks in.

Look at March's schedule. They basically play every other day. 16 games in 31 days. Two Saturday-Sunday back to backs, two instances of 6 games in 4 days and mercifully only 3 matinees.

It's amazing really. Imagine in back in Sept. I had told you that by the all-star break Pronger would have missed most of the season and be lost for the year, Jagr would have missed a good chunk of games, Briere and Giroux would miss a handful of games, JVR would have injury issues all season and, most shocking of all, Bryz would have a GAA around 3.00 and a sub .900 save %?? You would think they would be struggling to make the playoffs. Instead they are gunning for first place. Great work by Lavy, the healthy vets and the rooks!! Looking forward to the rest of this year and the future!!
- TS_Downes

I know. I'd have told you that we would need a monster effort from Jagr and for him and Pronger to stay totally healthy, for JVR and Roo to take the next step as budding stars (roo has), Schenn to be having a great season and then Bryz to be in Vezina form. Somehow we've pieced this together. Just the Pronger injury and Bryz struggling would have told me they are at least in 10th.

gusty seems to have a larger upside then originally thought, he can skate and move the puck around pretty darn well.

sestito should replace shelly full time, shelly needs to retire, he has lost his spark totally.

bob stole a game, best game he played all year.

- mydoglicks

Shelley hasn't lost his spark, nor does he need to retire. He played well again last night.

Wouldn't have been a problem had it not been for all those rain delays.

Well if you know the rule, then you know it was a penalty and the right call.

The best fit for a Tim Thomas trade would be a contending team with a young backup goalie who's not quite ready OH MY GOD THOMAS FOR LUONGO!

i just hope they will start to put on a nice little winning streak at home. I love the fact they have a great road record but it's time to win at home. Better yet for all those breakfast sammich lovers...a nice little win streak and 4 goals a night would be great.

The Sestito hit? Absolutely charging. He left his feet, it was the right call. No need to attack MJL, you started it. He responds and you get your panties in a bunch.
