I have no clue who he was even trying to punch there. His own player?

Was that from last night vs Calgary? Also, who was he trying to punch? His teammate?

So Liles takes a pay cut, and gets more term in exchange. Works for me. Oh, and it was nice knowing you, Luke Schenn.

Somebody can do a lot worse than having Niitty as a back up.

The Bolts should be all over that

- Buts16

he's got a solid record so far, but SJ is a good team. WOnder if CBJ would be interested. Hell someone in the Southeast should pick him up just to see if his dominance over Atl still works now that they are in Winterpeg.

That Bob guy looks pretty good.
- bradleyc4

I like Bryz and all, but the preference I had this past summer to go with Bob and a vet backup (I wanted the Flyers to trade for Nabokov) looks great in hindsight. I want to root for both goalies, but if the Flyers can unload Bryz somehow, sooner than later, I am all for it. No hard feelings, Mr. Universh, we just don't need your services (and salary) if we can get another backup in trade.

Not sure how the re-signing of an offensive defenseman signals the end of the line for a defensive defenseman.

Picks for Voracek to clear room for Rayn Suter. Because they have so much offensive depth they can swing Jake for a 2nd and be fine.

Why are our March sched's always this mental? Seems we alsways play every other nigth in March. Maybe it's just me.
- Hextall271

The NHL hates the Flyers and does not want them to have any energy by April to win the Cup.

Pipe dream indeed. Just have to pray that Bryz becomes the "elite" goaltender the Flyers apparently signed.

Bob was great last night, but I can't help feeling that if Bryz over commited on a goal, as much as Bob did on the second goal last night, we'd all be killing him.

there is an opposition player that is between the linesman and Thorton, he's just bent over.

Guaranteed.

But Bob's played really well and he also made several big stops after the game was tied to get it to the OT.

absolutely - here's Demers' quote:

“I wasn’t looking at (Mach) at all, I was looking through him to Ott,” Demers said after the game. “(Mach) sort of jumped in the way. He knew, and he was fine with it. I didn’t have any intention of doing that, it was inadvertant. Things happen in the heat of the moment. He was alright with it. I talked to him and apologized, and we went from there.”

I think until Bryz strings together several solid games and steals a few, people will be all over him every time he lets in a bad one.

No doubt about it, Bryzgalov would have been ripped for the goals Bobrovsky gave up. But that's what happens when your playing well, or your not playing well. Right now, Bobrovsky is the better Goalie. We'll see what happens after the All Star break.
